Managing this robot is very simple. As usual, it is best to fully charge it the first time before using it. For it, This first charge is recommended to be 12 hours (in subsequent charges, about 5 hours will be enough).

It is preferable that the charging base be located in a place where the robot has room to maneuver. Therefore, it is recommended that there be 1 meter of space to the sides and 2 meters forward. When you plug the charging base into power, a green light will turn on.

To charge the robot, you have to turn it on (it has a switch at the bottom, near one of the wheels).

Next, the robot is placed on the base, so that the robot's terminals (small metal plates located on the sides of the steering wheel) are located above the corresponding ones on the charging base.

You can also press the home button – the one shaped like a house – on the remote control, so that the robot itself can position itself. When charging, the Clean button will flash orange. When the charging process is complete, the lights will turn off.

In addition to the charging base, the robot incorporates a charging port that allows you to charge the robot by connecting it directly to the socket.

The V7s Pro has four dry cleaning modes:

Automatic cleaning: it is the most common. By pressing play on the remote control or the Clean button, the robot will start cleaning, adjusting your navigation according to the situation and obstacles you may encounter.

Concentrated: in spot mode, it will move in a spiral around the place where we have started cleaning (it is useful when dirt or debris accumulates somewhere, for example, if we have dropped something and it has spread). To activate this mode, you must press the crosshair-shaped button (bottom left, on the remote control).

Edge cleaning: place the robot near a wall and press the corresponding button on the controller (bottom right). The robot will clean close to the walls.

Scheduled mode: the iLife V7s Pro is programmable, via remote control. To do this, the first thing is to set the time (for which you use the clock-shaped button, and the arrows, to change it). Once we have the time, we can program it, with the bell-shaped button.

The tank is located inside the robot. To access it (to empty it, or to change it to the wet one) you simply have to press on the lid (where it says push) and it will open.

It is advisable to remove from the ground those elements that may hinder the robot., such as pieces of clothing, toys, cables, etc. If the robot gets tangled in any of them, it will stop.

The iLife V7s Pro performs well on hard floors. Its long side brush pushes particles inward (although in the case of some hard elements, it has also sent them outwards).

The robot has a side brush – Roomba style – and a central brush, which combines rubber and bristles, for better cleaning.

The amount of dust and dirt that it has collected in the tests carried out, in just one hour and on an apparently clean floor, has been considerable..

The navigation system has improved compared to the previous version, the V7s. It is not a robot that has laser navigation or room mapping (characteristics of devices with a higher price), its route is calculated in real time, but It is quite orderly in its movements.

As for the carpets, it has had some problems. It climbs thin rugs without difficulty, but not recommended for rugs over one centimeter high, since it might not upload them (unless we upload it “by hand”). If you have thick carpets at home, it is an issue to consider.

scrubbing mode

The iLife V7s Pro has a water tank and a mop for scrubbing.

To use this function, replace the dry tank inside the robot with the wet tank, which we will have filled with water, up to 300 milliliters maximum, and put on the mop.

The mop is very wide, occupies more than half the body of the robot, and is installed on a plastic accessory to which it adheres with Velcro (it sticks very well). The accessory has plastic pivots, which are inserted into holes in the bottom part of the robot (you have to press the central part until it clicks).

When this mode is used, the robot does not vacuum, since the mop covers the central brush. Therefore, before mopping, the floor must be cleaned.

Drip system works well. The mop wets the floor, which is clearly moistened, and does a good job..

It is advisable to clear the scrubbing area as much as possible, because if the robot were to get stuck somewhere, due to whatever circumstances, it could leave the floor a little more puddled (by continuing to pour water). If we avoid these types of situations, it has a fairly good performance, which will save us from the cumbersome task of scrubbing floors.

When finished, we will simply empty the tank (if it is not already empty) and we can remove the mop, which is washable.
