Common features

These three high-end robots share some characteristics (although some of them, with nuances, which we will discuss later). In any case, if you buy one of these 3 devices, you will have a high-performance robot, with:

Room mapping

Smart navigation with room mapping: Navigation of the Roomba 980, Xiaomi Vacuum 2 y el Conga series 3090 She is intelligent and organized. They know at all times where they are and what they have cleaned and what they need to clean. Each of these robots, based on the advanced technology they incorporate, is capable of building a map.

manageable via app

Wifi connectivity and mobile app: Both the Spanish robot, the American one and the Chinese one are up to date in terms of Wi-Fi connectivity and control of the robot through an application on the smartphone, being able to control them from anywhere, program them or select various functions.

High suction power

High suction power: The three robots analyzed in this comparison have high suction power, which places them at the top of the ranking in this section. guaranteeing excellent home cleaning.

Lithium battery

Lithium battery: All of them are equipped with a lithium battery, which provides the robot with good autonomy, both when cleaning and with respect to the number of charging cycles it supports with hardly any loss of performance.

Excellent carpet cleaning

Carpet cleaning: Both the Conga 3090, like the Vacuum 2 Roborock and the Roomba 980, have a mat detection system, which maximizes power when on a mat, obtaining excellent results on this type of surface, far superior to those of other robots on the market.

Comparison Roomba vs Conga vs xiaomi

Once we have seen the similarities, we are going to further analyze the characteristics of each one, to elucidate which is the best robot on the market.

We will assign colored ratings, for easy visualization, in this way: the robot that wins in each section will get a point (in green). The other two robots will get a zero (in red), if they do not have that technology; or 0,5 (in yellow) if they have it, but it is lower than the winner.

A) Basic characteristics

1. Smart navigation system

Roomba 980: Its navigation system is based on a camera, located at the top of the robot, which is added to the usual sensors. In addition, it incorporates vSlam technology, which helps you know what you have cleaned and what needs to be cleaned.

Conga series 3090: La Conga 3090 performs laser mapping, achieving intelligent, orderly and efficient navigation. It recognizes your home millimeter by millimeter, and thanks to Unlimited Cleaning technology, if the cleaning has not finished, it automatically returns to the charging base and subsequently continues where it left off.

Xiaomi Vacuum 2: Xiaomi's robot also performs laser mapping, so you know where you have to do your work, choosing the most appropriate cleaning pattern and the most efficient route to follow. Like the previous ones, he is able to know where he had ended and resume cleaning from that point.

In relation to navigation, the 3 robots have an advanced mapping system, which allows them to know the home and clean it thoroughly efficiently. Nevertheless, the system used by the Conga Series 3090 and the Xiaomi Vacuum 2 Roborock is more modern and superior, since it is more precise and anticipatory, does not need light to function and is less invasive.

Therefore, in this case, the point is for the Conga 3090 Series and Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum 2, while the Roomba 980 gets half a point (since it has advanced navigation, but with a less sophisticated system than the other two robots).

Room mapping

2. Suction power

Roomba 980

The Roomba 980 has a suction power of 1.670 Pascals, one of the highest on the market, although in this comparison it comes out somewhat penalized, perhaps because it is the oldest model of the three analyzed, since the other two have higher figures.

Conga series 3090

La Conga Series 3090 reaches 2.000 Pascals of suction power, adjustable in three levels: auto, for conventional cleaning, Turbo, to maximize power, and Eco mode, for the lightest cleaning, which allows you to extend battery life.

Xiaomi Vacuum 2

For its part, The Xiaomi Roborock also reaches 2.000 Pascals of suction power, standing, together with the Conga Series 3090, as the most powerful robot vacuum cleaner on the market.

The 3 robots are at the head of the market in this section, but the Roomba falls behind, compared to the other two robots. Therefore, one point for Conga Series 3090 and the Xiaomi Vacuum 2, and half a point for the Roomba 980.

Conga 3090 series power

3. Deposit

Regarding the size of the deposit, The three devices show high figures, in line with what one expects from a high-end robot. In this case, the Roomba 980 and the Conga Series 3090, with its 600 milliliters of capacity, while the Vacuum 2 is a little behind, with 480.

Moreover, Emptying the tank is easy in all three models.

For this reason, the first two get one point, and the Xiaomi, half a point.

Roomba 980 tank

4 Drums

This aspect is not so important in robots as advanced as these, since they are capable of recharging and continuing cleaning later from the place where they left off. In addition, since they have an orderly and efficient navigation, they take much less time in cleaning the house than robots with inferior technology.

All three have a lithium battery, without memory effect, and with good autonomy, but the cake in this case goes to the Vacuum 2, with its 150 minutes of autonomy, compared to the 120 of the Roomba and the 110 of the Conga. One point for the Xiaomi, and half a point for the other two.

Long-lasting lithium battery

5. Noise level

The Roomba 980 is around 70 decibels, a figure that is below those of many conventional vacuum cleaners, but which, for a robot, is somewhat high..

For its part, the Vacuum 2 offers figures between 54 and 67 decibels, and the Conga Series 3090 is below 64.

In this case, a point for Conga and the Xiaomi, while the Roomba gets zero points, since, in this case, it is also evident that it is a three-year-old robot, it is a little noisy by today's parameters.

Conga Silent 3090 Series

6. High efficiency filtering

In this section, The three robots do a good job, achieving a purer environment. The result is positive in all three cases, but there are some differences in the efficiency obtained by each robot.

The one with the Conga 3090 It is HEPA trapping up to 99,9% of dust and mite microparticles. The Roomba 980 system, based on its AeroForce technology, traps up to 99% of particles; For its part, the Xiaomi's is only EPA 11, not HEPA, which manages to trap 95%, although, in return, it is washable.

In this case, the Conga takes one point, while the other two robots take half a point.

High efficiency filtering

B) Functionalities

7. Scrubbing system

In this section only the Conga 3090 and the Vacuum 2, since the Roomba does not have it. In the comparison between the Spanish brand and the Chinese one, the Spanish brand clearly wins, since its scrubbing system is much more advanced than that of the oriental brand..

Roomba 980

The Roomba 980 does not have a scrubbing system.

Conga series 3090

The robots Conga They have a very fine-tuned water dosing system, thanks to the experience accumulated by the brand in this area. In the case of the Conga Series 3090, incorporates the innovative Scrubbing system, which imitates the way humans scrub, with a back-and-forth movement that passes through the same place several times, for a perfect cleaning..

Xiaomi Vacuum 2

Mopping the Xiaomi Vacuum 2 is easier (it must also be taken into account that it is the first robot from the brand to incorporate this functionality). The system works by capillarity, the water falls from the tank to the mop, which becomes soaked. For its part, the robot mops as it moves, without any additional action.

For all this, the Conga It takes one point, half a point for the Xiaomi and zero for the Roomba.

Conga 3090 series scrubbing

8. Carpet cleaning

The three robots in the comparison have systems that maximize power when they detect a carpet, to optimize cleaning, which places them one step above most robots on the market. Since they do a good job, we assign a point for each one.

Excellent carpet cleaning

9. Auto recharge and resume

All three robots have this feature. When they're running low on battery, they return to the charging base automatically, and when they resume cleaning, they know where to continue.. One point for each one.

Autoload and resume

10. Dirt detection

The Roomba 980 has the Dirt Detect dirt detection system, based on optical and acoustic sensors, so when it discovers a high concentration of dust, hair, etc. in a specific area, it dedicates a more thorough cleaning to that area.

The other two devices in the comparison do not have this system (although it is an aspect of relative importance, given the power and efficiency of the three devices).

Roomba dirt detect

11. Restricted areas

The Roomba 980 is compatible with virtual walls designed by the brand. They consist of a small device that is located in the place to which we want to limit access, and that prevents the robot from crossing that area.

For its part, la Conga Series 3090 allows, through the application, to intuitively delimit the areas to which we do not want the robot to access.

The Xiaomi Vacuum 2 has the possibility of limiting areas through magnetic strips and through the app.

In this section, the Xiaomi and the Conga It takes one point, since they have a more configurable system that is easy to put into operation, while the Roomba takes half a point.

Delimitation of restricted areas

12. Tank full indicator

This is a functionality that the Roomba 980 incorporates, while the other two robots lack it.

Tank full sensors

13. Possibilities to configure cleaning

In this section, we examine the breadth and ease of use when configuring the different cleaning options of the robot.

Roomba 980

The Roomba 980 has two cleaning modes (auto and spiral), in addition to the possibility of being programmed. In addition, it has two power levels, normal and turbo mode, which is activated automatically when cleaning carpets, thanks to its floor tracking sensor.

Through the app, you can schedule, start or stop cleaning, monitor robot activity, view cleaning reports, coverage statistics, charging cycle, update software or access help. In addition, it is possible to restrict areas, which the robot will not access, through an additional device, called virtual wall dual.

Conga series 3090

El Conga Series 3090 is the most modern of the 3 robots in the comparison and also the most manageable and configurable. It has 3 power levels and 10 cleaning modes, so that you can always choose the most suitable one.

In addition, It can be controlled both from the mobile application and from the remote control.

The application allows you to start and stop the robot, schedule it, view cleaning history and other information about the robot, as well as establish areas for more thorough cleaning, or restricted zones, which the robot will not access, or update the robot firmware.

Xiaomi Vacuum 2

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Vacuum 2 has 4 power modes (from least to most: quiet, balanced, turbo and max), the maximum being activated automatically when it detects a carpet.

It is programmable, and through the app you can also access the cleaning log, the product guide and various information about the status of the robot. It is also possible to establish a restricted area, using a type of magnetic tape. Now, as a reader tells us, the app includes the possibility of drawing virtual barriers (another possibility is to mark cleaning areas, and leave the one we do not want unmarked).

Therefore, the winners in this section are the Conga Series 3090 and the Xiaomi Vacuum 2, while the Roomba 980 takes half a point.

Conga Series 3090 zone cleaning

14. Wifi connection and management through the app

Roomba 980: The iRobot Home app, compatible with iOS and Android, allows you to perform a multitude of functions: start and pause cleaning, obtain information about it (duration of work, cleaned area...), check the maintenance of the robot, activate notifications...

Conga series 3090: The application Conga S3090, available for iOS and Android, is easy to configure and use, and provides information about the status of the robot, the square meters cleaned and the time spent, allows you to program the robot or choose cleaning modes, etc.

Xiaomi Vacuum 2: The Mi Home application allows, like the others, to control the robot and obtain various information about its status or the work it has done. Initially, the app was not translated, or was only partially translated, but currently, it is now available in Spanish, although there may occasionally be a slightly strange translation.

Controllable via app

In this case, although the Spanish company's application seems, overall, more manageable and user-oriented, we give a point to the three robots.

15. Remote control

The inclusion of the remote control complements the possibility of controlling the robot through the app. Not everyone has advanced technology skills, nor does everyone have a smartphone or a Wi-Fi network available.

This greatly limits the management possibilities of the Roomba 980 and the Xiaomi Vacuum 2, which can only be controlled through the application, or through the buttons on the top of the robot.. In this case, the Conga Series 3090, which does have a remote control, takes the cake, presenting greater orientation to all types of users.

Conga 3090 series remote control

16. Programming

As is logical in high-end robot vacuum cleaners, the three devices in this comparison are programmable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for greater comfort.

Programming Languages

Trademarks

17. Brand strength

Regarding the brand, the three robots analyzed belong to solid brands.

Roomba 980

iRobot

The American Roomba is one of the pioneers in the world of robot vacuum cleaners, the best-known brand until a few years ago.

Conga series 3090

Conga

For its part, the Spanish Conga leads the market in our country, thanks to its good work and its exceptional quality-price ratio, without competition.

Xiaomi Vacuum 2

Xiaomi

As for the The Chinese Xiaomi began by carving out a niche in the mobile phone market, but today it has shown that it also knows how to make other devices, among them, the robot vacuum cleaner that concerns us today.

Therefore, in this aspect, we give one point for each one.

18 Warranty

Guarantee

In this section, both the Roomba and the Conga They have a 2-year warranty, while the Xiaomi one depends on where it is purchased, it is worth checking if the purchase is made in Spain or comes from China or Hong Kong, since the guarantee could only be one year. In this section, one point for the American robot and for the Spanish one, and 0,5 for the Chinese device.

19. Technical service

Technical service

Regarding technical service, the situation is similar to that of the previous section. There is technical service in Spain in the case of the Conga and the Roomba, while, in the case of the Xiaomi, if a problem arises with the device, we may have difficulties, since we would have to do it through the website where it is purchased, and this can lead to a tedious and complicated process. In this case, we give a point to Roomba, medium to Conga and zero to Xiaomi.

20. Value for money

Value for money

Although it does not directly influence the quality or functionality of the robot, it is an aspect that we must also value, since, without it, the comparison would not be complete. In this aspect, the Roomba 980 clearly loses out compared to the other two robots, since it is more than double the price of the other alternatives. For their part, both the Chinese and Spanish robots offer a similar and very reasonable price for the features they provide. Therefore, the Roomba gets half a point, while the Xiaomi and the Conga They get one point in this section.

The best robot vacuum cleaner on the market

Once the different aspects have been analyzed, let's see the summary table, according to the scoring system discussed above:

Winner1 point =
It has the technology, but it is inferior to that of the winner0,5 points =
It does not have that technology0 points = X

Obviously, there are aspects that are more global or more important than others. That is to say, It could be refined and a different weighting could be established for each of the analyzed sections. (for example, in our opinion, the ability to wash should score higher, because it is an important help at home).

In any case, we leave this possibility to the judgment of our readers, since each one will assess which aspect they give greater importance to.

The final result of this mega comparison is the following:

It is a very complete robot, with intelligent navigation, that responds well on all types of floors, 4 in 1, capable of sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and scrubbing (and doing it all at the same time).

In addition, It is the most powerful on the market (in this section, together with the Vacuum 2), manageable and with multiple configuration possibilities.

It does an excellent job cleaning the home, both vacuuming and scrubbing, where Its new Scrubbing technology makes the difference, standing out from any other alternative on the market..

  1. Interesting comparison of these three robot vacuum cleaners!

I have a dog and I finally decided on him. Conga 3090 and I am happy with the result.
The good thing about Cecotec is that it continually innovates to bring new products to the market. This means that models that become “old” or “outdated” quickly drop in price. Compared to Roombas, Conga They are cheaper for the same product range. In addition, they have 4 functions in 1: they sweep, vacuum, mop and scrub the floor.

    Greetings!

  2. Hi Toni, thanks for stopping by.

Well, we couldn't say why they don't put it on the website now, what we can say is that in the instructions we have, they talk about a HEPA filter and we have also seen it reflected that way...

Regarding what you mentioned about the larger capacity battery, we had asked the brand at the time and it was not possible, it is not common... The new models of the 3000 series have increased the autonomy, and the 4090 even more.

  3. After a long analysis on my part and having read your comparison and comments, I decided to buy the Conga 3090. I have been testing it as a vacuum cleaner for a day, with the remote control and although it is too early to give an opinion, for now I am satisfied. I have a question regarding the filter... is it HEPA or is it not HEPA? Here it is said that it is HEPA, when I started to be interested in this cleaning robot, on Amazon and in Cecotec itself, they said that, like the 1090, it was HEPA, now, neither in AMAZON nor in Cecotec, does this quality appear filtering. I have removed the filter and it doesn't seem like it to me. Has it ever been and have they removed it to increase features of the new 3000 series models?
If so... could you put a HEPA filter?
I would also like to know if I could put a larger capacity battery.
    Thanks for your reply

  4. Hello again, yes, I did not mention that the chalet has more than one floor, would you recommend the Xiaomi Mi Robot 1S instead of the Conga Series 3090? I ask because I was almost decided on that model.

    Thank you, greetings.

    • Hello again, Diego.

In that sense, you are better off with a robot capable of managing multiple floors. Yesterday we would have recommended you without a doubt Xiaomi Vacuum 1S, but today we have another doubt... since the nueva Conga 3490, which manages multiple maps, as well as room cleaning, and has the highest power on the market, with 2.300 Pascals. We have carried out an analysis on it, which you can see by clicking the link that we have given you.

  5. Hello, I am considering which robot vacuum cleaner to buy in case you can guide me a little, it would be for a very large house (a chalet), most of the areas, separated by stairs, stops, a double-height living room..., come on, let the robot It couldn't move freely around the house, I would have to place it in each of the areas. In addition, there will also be many obstacles, such as furniture, cables, carpets and so on. Which of them would you recommend?

    Thank you, greetings.

    • Hello, Diego, thank you for visiting our website.

In our opinion, perhaps the best thing, taking into account the circumstances, is that you opt for a robot with laser navigation, which will be more precise in its movements. In this case, you can also delimit areas in which you want to clean, and restricted areas in which you do not want it to access, thereby making the Conga 3090 and the Xiaomi S50 Roborock can work very well for you.

We don't know if you have more than one floor in the chalet, in which case a robot that can have several maps might suit you. We give you several examples of some analyzes we have done, such as the one on neato d6 and the recent Xiaomi Vacuum 1S, the successor to the successful Xiaomi Vacuum, which seems to us to be a very interesting robot both in relation to its laser+optical navigation system, and in terms of the power and functionalities it offers. We suggest that you visit these analyses, which we believe may be of interest to you.

  6. Hello, I am considering which model to buy and I am quite convinced with the Conga, but with your comparison, despite being very good, I wonder why you only give it half a point in technical support. .. you don't mention anything negative, but...

On the other hand, the reason for looking for a device of this type is because I have a dog and I should have a mop in hand all day so that there are no hairs and hairballs all over the house, but in the characteristics, it says that no It has a special roller for pets, which surprises me in a superior model like this one. Can you clarify this point for me?

    Thanks in advance, regards

    • Hello Sofia, thank you for visiting our website.

Regarding the first thing you mention, sometimes it is difficult to establish a precise valuation. In some cases we have received some non-positive comments in this sense, and we have seen some more out there, especially when it came out, due to some aspect that had to be polished in the app (which is now solved), and we also have to take into account which is a best-selling model, with thousands of units sold every month (we have had it for months, and we are very happy with it), so it is possible that there will always be someone who is not satisfied in some sense, it happens to all companies. brands.

On the other hand, we know that you cannot pay attention to everything you read (in fact, we could affirm that part of the comments we receive, both from this brand and from others, are self-servingly negative, and there is no real basis behind them) and, in addition, we are aware of the brand's effort to have a quality technical service, in line with its products. Let's say we put it this way to highlight iRobot's technical service a little more (from which, as an example, we have also received some negative comments; but, we insist, sometimes these types of comments are not always real).

As for the special roller for pets, there are devices specially designed for these purposes, such as the Conga 1090, which does have a brush for this. In the case of the mid- and high-end Roombas, their AeroForce brushes are also quite interesting in this sense. Whether it has it or not does not depend so much on the range of the robot. Of course, any of the models in this comparison perfectly collect hair from both animals and humans, the only thing is that they may give you a little more work in maintenance, when cleaning the hair from the rollers. But hey, this is a task that must be performed periodically, in any case.

  7. Hi what's up? I found this comparison very interesting. I have read it three or four times and I don't know which one to choose. I have seen that the Roomba 980 is now at a very good price, but it is still more expensive than the other two. I also read that the Xiaomi vaccum 3 has come out. It's becoming less and less clear to me. What do you tell me?

    • Hello, Leonardo, thank you for coming to our website.

It is a difficult decision, without a doubt... We suggest you, as we recently told another reader, that you look at what matters most to you, what you value most, both in relation to the characteristics you want the robot you buy to have, like what you would miss if the robot didn't have it, and from there you decide. Each buyer has aspects to which they give more importance, and surely in your case you value some things more than others. However, if you need more help on any specific aspect, do not hesitate to ask us.

As for the one you mention as Xiaomi Vacuum 3, we understand that you are referring to the Roborock S6, which is the robot that replaces the Vacuum 2, made by the same manufacturer (Roborock), which shares many of the characteristics that have made the Vacuum 2 one of the most interesting robots on the market, improving some issues. Can see our analysis here.

I am also concerned about the issue of the camera and privacy. Come on, I'm in a mess. What do you advise me?

Reasonable doubts... There are 3 good alternatives, and each of them has its strong points... We suggest that you pay attention to what matters most to you, what you value most, both in relation to the characteristics that you want the robot you buy to have, as well as what you would miss if the robot didn't have it, and from there you decide. Each buyer has aspects to which they give more importance, and surely in your case you value some things more than others. However, if you need more help on any specific aspect, do not hesitate to ask us.

Regarding the camera and privacy, there are users who do not like the possibility that a robot with a camera walks around their house and that this information could be used in some way by third parties. Although really, we could also think the same about any of the thousands of smart devices that increasingly surround us. Perhaps images may seem more sensitive, but today we are surrounded by technology that could hypothetically provide data about what we do, our preferences or where we are...

  9. We decided on the conga for this review and it has been disappointing. We had the Roomba for almost 10 years and it broke down. It has nothing to do with the quality of the cleaning. There are small lint and particles that it does not suck well, it is not able to overcome a small unevenness of approximately 1 cm that the Roomba did not even notice, and the battery lasts very little. It is also not true that it is less noisy than the Roomba. The first time I went to consult the manual, all the pages separated…. The price difference has to come out somewhere. The only thing that is better about the Roomba we had is being able to program it from your mobile, but I don't think it's worth deciding on this alone.
We wouldn't think of recommending it to anyone.

    • Hello Marlene, thank you for coming to our website.

We are sorry for the bad experience you have had. In a product in which thousands of units are sold every month, there is always some user who is not satisfied and/or who receives a unit that does not work well at all, and it seems that it is your turn. You comment that it does not suck well (when it is the robot with the most suction power on the market, along with some Xiaomi models, and even in its minimum power it equals the maximum of many competing robots), that it is not capable of overcoming a slope of 1 centimeter (also a strange thing), or that even the manual was defective... You really haven't had any luck.

We assume that you have already returned it, in any case, in case it helps you, keep in mind that if you have bought it online, you have right of withdrawal and, in any case, the consumer and user defense law protects you, and, being a recent purchase, it is under warranty, not only do you have to take into account the two years, but less than six months have passed, so which is presumed, unless proven otherwise, to be an original failure. You can see it in this website of the European Union.

Well, difficult choice, without a doubt. We understand you, Xiaomi is also a brand that we like a lot, if you have other devices and you have seen how well they work, it is difficult not to buy it... On the other hand, if you are interested in the topic of scrubbing, there is no doubt, the Conga 3090 is a better option. As for the rest of the issues... well, you see the comparison, but in any case, we reiterate, both are excellent vacuum cleaners. We don't know if we have helped, or anything else, you tell us.

  11. Hello,
I read this article before buying the robot vacuum cleaner and finally decided on the one. conga 3090. In principle everything is great, although the cleaning option does not leave it as we left it when we do it manually, but otherwise perfect.
I connected it very easily to the Wi-Fi network and the application is very easy to use. It sucks great and is really a great help.
After a month of having it, I disconnected it from the power and from there the problems began, at first they told me it was the battery and they sent me one (from the Cecotec technical service, although it was used), I put it in and it worked for a couple of days. Suddenly a red light came on and I returned it to where I had bought it. After a few days they told me that there was no solution and that they could refund my money or replace it with another one. I preferred that they send me another one because I really find the device very useful (when it works well).
The second machine from the first day failed in the mapping, but I was very reluctant to leave it and restarted the mapping every day. I finally got it, on the fourth day. All good, until I emptied the dirt tank and cleaned the bristles. When I put it back in its place, it turned off by itself. I tried to turn it on several times and nothing. In the app it said to charge it... Overall, I had to return it again.
Although I'm still thinking about buying another one like it... I need an opinion

    Thank you very much!

Well, we wouldn't know very well what to say. We are not taking risks if we say that thousands of units of this robot are sold every month, so it is possible that some do not turn out well; It is something that happens to all brands, even the most prestigious ones, be they Apple, Porsche, Roomba or Cecotec... But of course, it has happened to you twice... We could say, like in the old joke about the bombs on the plane , which is very unlikely that, if you buy another one, it will be your turn again... But, on the other hand, this raises doubts, and also, as is evident, there are other very good alternatives, in this same article you have a couple of them, and if you browse our website a little, you can find some others. We don't know if we have been able to help you much, but the decision is yours.

  12. Hello! Thank you for your effort in helping us when choosing a good robot vacuum cleaner.
I am hesitating to take the robot conga 3090 or the LG series 9. It is true that the conga It has more features than the LG, but the square shape and the fact that the LG has two side brushes gives me the feeling that it will clean the corners better. He conga 3090 only has one side brush (something I don't know because this top model only has one and the lower models have two) and I think it can vacuum worse than those that have two. The fact that it scrubs is fine but I think the important thing is that it vacuums well. Also my house has two floors, both in one type and the other, would I have to put them in automatic mode first on one floor and then on the other? Will they do the cleaning well, or will they make a mess and not know what area they are in?
I would like you to advise me which would be the best option.
    Thank you very much

    • Hello, María, thank you for visiting us and for your encouragement.

The issue of having a brush or two is curious, there are brands that generally opt for one option or another, while, in this case, most of the Conga They have 2 brushes, but, as you mention, the 3090 has one. This, in reality, is not as important as it may seem (for example, in the case of the traditional leader, Roomba, they opt for one), since the robot will use its side brush to clean edges and corners, and its high cleaning power Suction makes it effectively collect dirt (in the past, when robot vacuum cleaners were much less powerful, perhaps it could have been a little more important).

On the other hand, regarding the navigation system, we consider the laser-based one to be better, as it is more precise, less invasive, and allows cleaning even if there is not enough clarity (in this sense, the Conga 3090 and the Xiaomi Vacuum 2, for example). Also indicate that the square shape of the Hombot does give them a small advantage in terms of cleaning edges and corners, where they achieve greater efficiency (although in the case of the robots that appear in this comparison, for example, this would be compensated partly due to its high suction power).

They will do the cleaning well, they will not make a mess, even if you have two floors, although it is also true that today, none of these robots is capable of memorizing more than one map, so, although you would not have problems regarding navigation and cleaning efficiency, you would not be able to take advantage of all the functions that memorized maps provide.

But I wonder if using the application from the phone. mobile, the maps you store in your memory will not be mixed, or you might have to download it again to configure the new Conga of the 2nd home. Wouldn't it be better if the Robots were from different brands, to avoid possible problems?

In the app Conga, in profile-robots, you can add more robots, so you would link it the same as you did with the first one, and you could manage both. Another alternative would also be to create another account, to manage each robot with a different account.

    • Hello again, C.K.

Robots that can be controlled through an app are very convenient and are in fashion (lately, most of the ones that come out, both in the high and medium range, tend to be operated like this), but it is true that there are users, as you say, who prefer to safeguard their privacy. , so they opt for a robot that is not controlled by an application. More than privacy issues Conga, that would be extendable, in general, to robots that connect via Wi-Fi (and not only to robot vacuum cleaners, but to the multitude of intelligent devices that are increasingly being offered).

If what you are looking for is a robot with a scrubbing function, in our opinion, the best option is still the Conga, although in this case, you would go to the Conga 1290, which would be the best model without an app. It can also be a good option Ikohs Netbot S15, which although it can also be connected to an application, is manageable using the remote control, has good power and is now very well priced. The Deebot Ozmo are a good option when it comes to scrubbing, but they are less powerful and the latest models are controlled through an app, and the iLife 9s, which also has a good scrubbing system, is also controlled through an app.

  16. Hello,

I have read with interest your detailed study as well as those on other pages. It is extremely complete and I am considering purchasing the Conga 3090. However, as an Amazon affiliate platform, you are surely aware of the numerous criticisms that this model receives on that website and also for reasons that are frequently repeated: disorientation of the robot, shorter battery life than advertised and inability to store the map, so I'm still hesitating. It does not seem to be a problem in a specific period because it is a specific item, but rather a failure in the design of the product that appears frequently.

Do you do any evaluation after repeated use across a user base?

On the other hand, I am not interested in using the Conga 3090 with the app, can all functions be performed with the remote control?

    • Hello CK, thank you for visiting our website.

In our experience, the 3090 is a well-functioning robot, and we have not experienced any problems with disorientation or the inability to save the map (which is usually just a matter of giving it a few days for the robot to map the home). On the subject of the battery, it is true that it could last longer (although this is an issue that happens many times, like the consumption of cars, that what the manufacturers indicate is not achieved), and that it is difficult to achieve. The theoretical duration, although since the robot has charging and continuation, it is not a big problem. However, for those who consider this important, the Xiaomi Vacuum 2 is an excellent alternative.

Regarding the use of the app, although you have the remote control, to be able to use all the functions of the 3090, it has to be done through the mobile phone, since only the most basic operating functions are included in the remote control, as well like programming.

There is some difference in consumption, but really, the consumption figures of a robot are so small, very few watts, that the differences between them are negligible.

Regarding the battery of the Conga, we have consulted it, and at the moment there is no such possibility.

La Conga It is Spanish, but at the moment, as we had consulted at the time, it is served in Spain and part of Europe, so you still could not buy it in Chile. If you bought it here in Spain, the warranty would be the one here (2 years) and the technical service, which is provided by the brand (Cecotec) directly, although we understand that at the moment, it would not be ideal, being so far away.

    • Hello, María Elena, thank you for visiting our website.

La Conga 3090 has no problem cleaning two different floors or two different homes, the robot will do the laser mapping every time it cleans. The only issue is that it will save the last saved map (some time ago, we told the brand if it was going to include the possibility of saving more than one map in the app, and it was being studied, but as of today this does not yet exist option yet).

This means that the robot will properly map and clean each area, but you will only be able to interact with the last saved map (for example, to define restricted zones or areas to clean), if you want to use this type of issue. But to clean the entire surface, there is no problem.

As I will surely soon be a user of the Conga 3090, I have a question that I have not seen anywhere,
If you put it in mopping mode in a large house and it has to be recharged again due to battery issues, it will spend several hours mopping. What happens if it runs out of water?

    Greetings.

    Reply
    • Hello, Héctor, thank you for visiting us and for your words of encouragement.

When the water runs out, the robot would continue working in mop mode, that is, cleaning dry.

On the other hand, indicate that it is not recommended that the robot climb onto the charging base with the water tank on, since humidity could cause a problem in the charging base. If you are at home, you can go around scrubbing rooms, having the door closed you can prevent it from going to the base.
If you want to put it to scrub around the house, without having to watch for it to return to the base without you realizing it or you won't be there, what occurs to us is that you put the base in a place where it cannot access the robot (on top of a table, for example), and in this way, you avoid problems.

  21. Good morning, I am interested in purchasing a robot vacuum cleaner and I can't decide between the Conga 3090 or the Xiaomi Vacuum 2. What I'm really looking for is a robot that leaves my home as clean as possible. I would like to know if in a 100m home, which is mine, the mh capacity of the Conga It is enough to vacuum and mop the floor without having to carry any load.
I also have a question about how said robot works through the mobile apk if I am not at home. Is it necessary to have a router at home to be able to control the robot from the mobile phone or is simply having it linked via Wi-Fi to the mobile phone enough?
Thank you very much for your help with this great article.

    • Hello, Manu, thank you for visiting us and for your encouragement.

Any of the robots in this comparison will leave your house very clean. In the case of the battery, there is no doubt that the champion is Xiaomi's Vacuum 2. Possibly the battery Conga It is only enough to clean a 100 meter home with a single charge (it depends on the power used, whether or not there are carpets, what obstacles there are, etc.), but if you prefer to opt for a robot with ample autonomy (although as we have already reviewed and you point out, they have the charging+continuation system), then the Xiaomi one is your choice.

Regarding operation with the application, the usual system of the robots on the market is as follows: on the one hand, you install the application on your mobile, and on the other, you link the robot to your home's Wi-Fi. Once connected, the robot will appear in the app.

From there, you can control the robot from wherever you want with your mobile phone, as long as you have an Internet connection on your mobile phone, of course, whether through data or via Wi-Fi, (for example, if you are in a cafeteria).

The only issue is that you must have your home's Wi-Fi turned on, since this is what will act as a connection between your mobile phone and the robot.

  22. A very complete review of the 3 best robot vacuum cleaners on the market. However, there are some things to take into account that have not been evaluated, for example the quality of manufacturing, Romba from the American manufacturer iRobot, uses very high quality materials and components that make it an indestructible device and give it a useful life much longer than the rest.
On the other hand, the reliability of the devices has not been discussed either, where the Conga 3090, based on the opinions of many users who have tried it, it seems that in some cases its advanced guidance system stops working correctly, leaving the robot disoriented, spinning around, unable to finish the job. (this failure will have to be closely monitored )
Of the 3 robots analyzed, the Romba plays in another league, it is like comparing a Rolls Royce with a Seat, but the negative point is its high price that will relegate it to the last positions in terms of sales.
My choice taking into account performance, reliability, quality and price, I choose the Xiaomi Roborock.

    • Hello, Antonio, thank you for visiting us and for your extensive comment.

There is no doubt that Roomba is a brand that has managed to make a name for itself over the years, and is a super-recognized manufacturer of robust and reliable robots (despite which also, as happens with any brand, there are some users discontent, as also happens to Conga or to the Xiaomi ones; On the other hand, the more units are sold, the more likely it is that there will be dissatisfied users, simply due to a question of proportions).

Roomba is penalized, there is no doubt, by the price, and perhaps it has rested a little on its laurels, it has fallen a little behind in terms of navigation technology, for example. It must also be taken into account that the model here in contention, the Roomba 980, has been on the market for a few years now, which in the technological field is a whole world; and despite this, it is a magnificent robot, which competes very worthily). Apart from that, perhaps, in our opinion, it is not like comparing a Rolls with a Seat (but hey, that is a matter of opinions and everyone has their own, we are not going to argue about it :-))

El Conga, although it is a Spanish brand, like many other electronic devices (including Roomba or iPhone, for example), it is manufactured in China. Things about globalization. The vast majority of robot vacuum cleaners on the market are manufactured in a specific area of the Asian giant, where the factories and component suppliers are located, for logistical reasons.

On the other hand, in addition to the issue of scrubbing, although both have room mapping, the one in the Conga 3090 is more advanced as it is laser based. In addition, it is more powerful than the Roomba, which you will surely notice when cleaning your home.

I totally trusted your opinions, but I am quite disappointed with the device.
The first 10 days it worked correctly, but then it was deconfigured and it has never worked correctly again, despite having reconfigured it with the last check. of the app and other features.
It's all chaos. He does not recognize returning home, spins around uncontrollably, flashes red after 8-10 min. of operation and it stops, it has not mapped the house again, and a long etc.
But the real problem lies in the after-sales service.
I have already spoken to 3 different people, sent videos, purchase invoice from just a month ago (Nov. 22), error data... and I am still waiting for a response. They only told me that next week they would pick it up and keep it under observation for ONE MONTH and then they would return it to me repaired.
Repaired, a defective device? I assumed that they should replace it with a new one, instead of leaving someone who has trusted their brand without service, but maybe I'm wrong, because I'm still waiting for a solution.
For the moment, I maintain the feeling of being deceived, disillusioned and disappointed with the Conga 3090.

As we have already mentioned, in this analysis we have compared 20 aspects, each one with the same “weight”, but each one can give more importance to one issue or another. There are aspects in which the Xiaomi is superior, just as there are also things in which the Roomba wins. And there are also each person's preferences (in our case, also indicate that we have various Xiaomi devices and it is a brand that we like). And of course, the Roborock is an excellent robot, so we understand your preferences. On the other hand, we have many articles of Conga, as we also have from Xiaomi or Roomba.

Many people like to name their robot, and this has been taken into account by the application's programmers. Therefore, the answer is yes you can.

To do this, you have to go to Profile-Robots and click on the arrow that appears on the right, so that you enter “Robot Settings”. In this section, the name of the robot appears first. By clicking there, you can edit and add whatever you want, then saving it in the floppy disk-shaped button that appears in the upper right corner.

There are spare batteries for the conga? Are there more capacity or will there be in the future?

    • Hello, Míriam, thank you for your visit.

It is true that the battery is a strong point in the case of the Xiaomi, which has great autonomy compared to the other two robots. Refering to Conga, there is currently no one with a greater capacity, although, if you wish, it is possible to purchase, as with other elements, a spare one. On the other hand, the function of automatically resuming cleaning where it ended works very well, so in that sense, you have no problem, it will clean the entire house in any case.

  30. Hello, I loved the article, and I do not agree with Carlos. I have arrived here after reading a lot of information on other websites and this is by far the one that seems most complete and professional to me, this article and others are very well written and also allow comments (which others do not) and even publish critical comments, I don't know if I would do it :-). And if in this comparison the conga Well, he has won. In fact, despite everything, I am going to buy the Xiaomi because it is a brand that I really like, I have the A1 and the Mi Band 2 and I am super happy. But that does not mean that the Conga is not good or that the Roomba is not worth it (this one is really out of my budget). Everyone values things about themselves, and my Xiaomi deserves my trust, of the conga I can't say personally, although I have some friends who have the Excelence 990 and are very happy.
Well, I'm done with it, congratulations on the website and happy holidays.

    • Hello Yoyes, thank you for stopping by and for your kind words.

That's right, this is what it's about, sometimes we will get it better and other times not so much... As you point out, each one pays more attention or gives more importance to some aspects, and the three robots here are worthy of being seen as the best, according to the parameters on which the most emphasis is placed. In your case, you have decided on Xiaomi, and there is no doubt that you are going to acquire an extraordinary robot, just like with any of the other two.

As for the comments, don't worry, as indicated below, we reserve the right to publish them if we observe that they are not very constructive or have negative intentions; but we can also say that 99% of those who arrive can be approved. The community and readers who come here are very diverse, and there can always be positive or negative comments, and occasional criticism is normal. In this case, Carlos has simply pointed out that he has perceived something that did not fit him, and he has told us so, so that he can help us correct it.

  31. First you say that Xiaomi spare parts can take three or four weeks and then two or three months, please! Did you think you had fallen short? I have bought many times on AliExpress and similar, among other things, spare parts for the Roomba , and rarely has it taken more than 15 days, many times it has even taken less, the article is aimed at purchasing the Conga but you shouldn't go overboard either, I'm the only one I haven't seen in operation and I don't doubt its capabilities, but I do agree with someone who has already commented on Cecotec's technical service, many people complain, you just have to read the comments.

    • Hello, Carlos, thank you for your visit.

To Caesar what is Caesar's, we agree with you; In the comments responses we have put two different periods, but not because we thought it was too little... When we answered the second person, to check how much the Xiaomi replacement kit cost, we looked for it on AliExpress, and we put the delivery time What the website reflected at that time (1 to 2 months) we did not invent it, we simply reported what AliExpress said. In any case, to avoid confusion, we will modify this answer (thank you very much for your contribution).

In the article we simply compare the 3 robots, it is not about specifically promoting the Conga. Of course, both the Xiaomi and the Roomba are excellent robots, and may be just as deserving of the title of best robot as the Conga, it all depends on the aspects one focuses on, as we have already repeated several times. We have simply tried to make a complete list, divided by sections, and rate it, and in this case, 3090 has won. From there, each one decides what they give more importance to.

I think I'm going to opt for the latter!!! I'm looking at prices and the cheapest I can find is 299 euros. Do you think this is a good price or does it have the possibility of lowering something at Christmas or for Three Kings????? Thank you so much.

    • Hello Oskar, thanks for stopping by.

Well, we wouldn't be able to say if this is going to be the best price, since we can't know what the brand is going to do, but as is usually the case, this Black Friday-Cyber Monday one is usually the best price. of the year. Sometimes, in sales they put a similar price, but below it it is difficult to go (in any case, we repeat, it is our opinion, we do not know for sure :-))

  34. Hello, I was almost decided to buy the Xiaomi vacuum 2, but this comparison caught my attention, since I think there is very little difference compared to the congaI see this one conga as a higher step compared to the xiaomi and two above the romba, if I miss a comparison of the final result between the three, that is, a room with the same type of dirt and quantity with some obstacle, to see its final behavior, now that the mapping and behavior can be different and therefore the result as well.

In general, it seemed to me to be a very reasonable survey. I would have changed some points, but by adding a variant, I mean in the filtering efficiency section, unless you do it with a microscope, you don't know the percentage that is detected, so That's what we "use" the specifications but in exchange the xaomi filter is washable which the others are not, also for this reason it collects less, I suppose...

In any case, congratulations for clarifying our doubts, as I say, I was going for the Vacuum 2, and I will stick with it. Conga He is also Spanish, and he gives me confidence that I didn't have before.

    Thanks and good job

    • Hello, Eduardo, thank you for your visit and for your extensive and explanatory comment.

You are right, in matters such as filtering, we are possibly treading very finely, since they are all high-efficiency filters, which will contribute to having the purest environment (in addition, due to the comfort that robots provide, as they clean more often, everything is always cleaner). Curiously, the Xiaomi Vacuum 1 filter was HEPA, although not washable. This type of information is possibly of interest to allergic people; those who do not have that problem will find the EPA filtration level sufficient.

As for the mapping, it is true that it is different, and there are users who may like the way one or the other does it better, or even because of the shape of the home and the arrangement of the furniture. It is possible that on some occasions, one does it better and in other cases another; although, in any case, the system used by Xiaomi and the Conga, based on laser, is superior to that of the Roomba.

  35. Good afternoon. My house is quite big, so when I bought my first robot I wanted it to have a good battery. Now I want to change it and reading this comparison I have a doubt. I was about to choose the Xiaomi because the battery lasts a long time but I see that that may not be so important because the robots go on their own to recharge and continue cleaning where they had finished. How does that system work? They do it right?

    Reply
    • Good afternoon, Tina, thank you for stopping by.

The system works well, thanks to the mapping they perform; In this way, although Conga 3090 and the Roomba 980 have a lower battery life, thanks to this feature, they clean the entire house without problems.

And there are points that are directly absurd. Who wants a controller? It is the least needed now that there are 500 controls at home as before.

    • Hello, Óscar, thank you for your visit and for sharing your opinion with us.

In this analysis we compare a series of parameters; If you want to see them working, there are comparative videos on YouTube, depending on the format that each one likes best, you can choose the type of analysis you want.

As we mentioned, there may be more important points for a person and less important points, and a weighting could even be established. We just try to collect all the aspects. If it is not important to you to be able to operate the robot even if you do not have your cell phone available to do so, then simply ignore that point, as if it were not there.

Good question; in this case, the Conga, as is the case with many technological products today, is made in China (designed in Spain, manufactured in China, as is the case, for example, with the iPhone and other Apple products, designed in California, but manufactured in the Asian country, or even Roomba itself). Things about globalization.

    • Hello, Javi, thank you for visiting us, for your kind comment, and for your contribution.

Yes, maybe the score would be 1 point for Conga and Roomba, and 0,5 for Xiaomi. In the latter, you can get the spare parts more or less easily on some websites, such as AliExpress or Gearbest, but it is likely that we will have to wait three or four weeks to have them, and in case there is any discrepancy, we could have the complications derived from language and distance, so we would give it half a point.

        • Hello, Alberto, thank you for your contribution. We have not gone into the comparison in depth about the price; without a doubt, the Xiaomi and the Conga They are much more affordable than the Roomba, but between the first two, it depends on the offers, so we have not gone there.

In the case of the spare parts that you mention, for example, on Aliexpress there is a kit for the Xiaomi for 19 euros, which comes with two filters and two side brushes, in addition to the roller and the cleaning accessory, while in the Conga, the kit costs 20 euros, but with one of each thing. Although it should also be taken into account that the Xiaomi one may take several weeks to arrive...

            • Hello Ermitas, thank you for visiting us.

This is perhaps one of the weak points of the Xiaomi. Its page in Spain, Mi.com, is basically focused on mobile phones (it has some other smart devices, but, at least for now, it does not include vacuum cleaners). The same thing happens in other Xiaomi-oriented stores, which focus their technical service on smartphones. If you buy it on AliExpress Spain or Gearbest Spain, you will have a service that takes care of possible problems; There are also some technical services that maintain and/or repair these robots... but in any case, we still miss an official technical service in Spain that takes care of these robots. Let's hope the brand solves it soon.

  39. Great work.
I have a question regarding the scrubbing mode of both the Xiaomi and the Conga 3090.
In my case the floor is made of floating flooring, in general that material is not suitable for getting wet. Is there a problem with these 2 models that they can damage the floor?

    • Hello, Tercuato, thank you very much, and thank you for visiting us.

In the case of the Conga 3090, the dosage it makes is very controlled, it is light; The mop moistens, not soaks, so there should be no problem in the case of varnished floors. In any case, this is a general conclusion, it depends on the porosity of the soil, whether it is well sealed or not.
As for the Xiaomi Vacuum 2, we would have a little more doubt, due to the system it has when releasing the water, since in some cases it can get more wet.

As you suggest, although the Xiaomi and the Conga They have certain similarities (for example, that they both scrub, or the same suction power, 2.000 Pascals, the highest on the market), the Conga It is more modern, so it surpasses the Xiaomi in some aspects, which is why it has ultimately emerged as the winner in this comparison. In any case, any of these two options (or all three, for those who can afford it) are excellent alternatives, we are talking about the best on the market.

It should not be compared with Xiaomi or iRobot, which apart from not giving a single problem (Xiaomi and iRobot) have better after-sales service and technical service than Cecotec, it is non-existent.
The "good" thing about this comparison is that in addition the Conga S3090 is the winner……hahahahahahaha……how much did Cecotec pay them?…….what a comparison…….
On AMAZON they no longer allow comments about vacuum cleaners Conga (neither good nor bad)……how curious.

    • Hello, Alberto, first of all, thank you for visiting our page.

We are sorry for the problems you have had, our experience is positive, but it is clear that no brand, not even the best in the world, is free from errors or dissatisfied customers. In the case of the Conga, satisfaction rates are high, but they do not reach 100% (no brand does), and from what you say, you have had to experience negative situations.

As for the comparison, what we have done is evaluate 20 aspects of these 3 robots and establish a score, and the result obtained is the sum of the points. But also, as we indicated near the end, “obviously, there are aspects that are more global or more important than others. That is, a different weighting could be refined and established for each of the sections analyzed,” and therefore, “we leave this possibility to the judgment of our readers, since each one will assess which aspect they give greater importance to.”

I don't give an opinion on phones, but on vacuum cleaners and the scooters they sell now they fall apart, just look on Amazon for an opinion from someone who has had them for more than 6 months and you'll see.

Roomba is at another level of quality, but of course, you pay. I have an old robot of his, a 501 that is 11 years old and I have only had to change the battery once. Everything else scratched and ugly on the outside, but indestructible.

Undoubtedly, if Roomba has earned its position in the market, it is by doing some things well, and the robustness of its robots is beyond dispute.

At Xiaomi, in the case of robots, the general opinion is very positive, although, as happens with any brand, even the most premium ones, there may always be dissatisfied users. Perhaps, in this sense, it is where the Xiaomi is penalized the most, from the point of view that, if it is purchased on a Chinese website, it can be difficult to make a claim or exercise a guarantee.
