Who is a window cleaning robot useful for?
Cleaning the windows, in addition to being a cumbersome task, can be difficult (because they are very high, because they have a large surface area...) or even dangerous.
A robot window cleaner can save you both the work of doing the task and the risk that it entails.
The more glass surface your home has, the more advantages you will get from a robot of this type... although it is not just about glass.»
What type of surfaces does a window cleaning robot clean?
Although they are often called glass cleaners, these robots are usually used to clean smooth, non-porous surfaces, including screens, mirrors, tiles.…The point is that the surface is smooth, so that the robot can properly “grip” to it.
It is safe? It can fall?
Window cleaning robots have several safety systems to prevent them from falling to the ground (which is especially important if we are cleaning the window from the outside)., including, if all else failed, a safety rope, which would ultimately prevent the fall.

Safety in the operation of the device is essential. For this reason, the WinRobot 870 incorporates up to 4 systems, which ensure that the robot does not fall.
Products
The robot work with washable microfiber cloths, which allow both dry and wet cleaning.
Very easy handling
Through the remote control, which is very easy to use, we can operate the robot easily, both through the three programs and with the direction arrows.
Conga WinRobot 870: security systems
The robot has four security systems:
Operation of the Conga WinRobot 870
The robot works with 2 circular mops, which are attached to discs on the bottom (it comes with 12 mops; 2 placed on the robot, and 10 as spares). It has a handle to move it comfortably, where the button to turn it on and off is inserted.
Before putting it into operation, you must charge the battery. The robot must always operate connected to the power, and the battery serves as a security system, in case you disconnect from it, or simply “the power goes out”, providing you with 20-30 minutes of autonomy.
When the battery is fully charged, a blue LED lights up. When there is a power outage, and the robot starts using the battery, a red light will appear.
The robot comes with a safety rope, with a steel carabiner, which is used to hook the other end of the rope somewhere, and prevent it from falling. in some cases, if the previous systems fail (as we have in the security systems section).
The WinRobot can clean dry or wet, although the latter option is more recommended.. To do this, we will moisten the chamois at the bottom, and press the power button, placing it on the glass.
When turned on, the WinRobot sticks to glass or a smooth surface, thanks to its suction pump., which generates a vacuum through the microfiber cloths (a mechanism similar to that of the vacuum cleaner operation).
Using the remote control (which is super easy to use), we start it. The robot will go to the opposite edge of the window to determine its dimensions. For example, if we put it at the bottom of the window, it will rise to the top.
Using its artificial intelligence system (AI Technology), the robot calculates the most appropriate route and detects the edges of the window, moving to a corner.
From there, you will begin to draw a zigzag pattern, from one side of the window to the other, until you cover its entire surface. Having moistened only the lower chamois, the upper chamois dries what the other has left wet, thereby achieving a good finish..
The power cable measures 4 meters, sufficient in most cases. Nevertheless, If the surface to be cleaned is very large, we may have to use an extension cord, so that the robot does not accidentally unplug.
The robot trims the edges well, as it reaches the end; Only the corners are left without perfect cleaning, since, since the discs are round, it does not reach them.
When he finishes his work, he stands at the bottom of the window, and the LED stops flashing, indicating that the robot has finished its work. At this moment, we can turn it off and pick it up using its handle.
The WinRobot 870 has a Twice mode, which is used when the surface to be cleaned is very dirty. When Twice mode is activated, the robot, upon finishing the job for the first time, starts over and does it again.
How to use the remote control
We briefly explain how the WinRobot 870 is handled.
The controller consists of buttons with three colors: blue, black and white.
The blue ones are to control the stops of the robot, the stop one is to stop it completely, and the one with the Cecotec logo is to pause it.
The white buttons correspond to the three cleaning modes that the robot has, which we will choose based on the comfort with which we access the window to position the robot..
In the button at the top, the most common, we place the robot at the bottom of the window. The robot will go up until it finds the upper edge of the window, and will begin to clean it, descending in a zigzag, covering the entire surface.
The white button at the bottom left will be for when the robot is placed in the upper right part of the window. In this case, the robot will begin its journey to the left and down, in a zigzag pattern.
The third white button would be for when we place the robot in the upper left part of the surface to be cleaned. Logically, in this case the robot will begin to move to the right and down, in a zigzag, until it reaches the bottom.
Lastly, there would be the black buttons. The arrows are used to control the robot manually. If we tell it, for example, to go to the right, it will do so until it finds an edge, where it will stop. Normally we make the robot work in automatic mode, with white button cleaning modes, but the possibility of manual operation can be useful in some cases.
In addition, The black button that says Twice activates a function that can be used in the case of dirtier windows, since it will do the cleaning twice.
Operating Tips
The robot can be used to clean different types of surfaces. When you are going to use one of them for the first time—and especially if this surface has any special characteristics—it is advisable to supervise your work and take extreme precautions. (in particular, connect the safety rope, to prevent falls).
An example of this is the case of tiles, since they can be of different sizes, and their joints can be more or less wide, or more or less deep.
In any case, It is not recommended to use the WinRobot 870 in these cases:
