Conga Series 1390, room mapping and controllable via app

Cecotec has carried out a complete renovation of its well-known range of robot vacuum cleaners, and the Conga Series 1390 is the one that is located in the second step, below the sensational Conga 3090.

Thus, the Conga 1390 is positioned as a robot with very high performance, not as high as its “sister”, but at a very reasonable price.

Conga 1390 series: valuation

La Conga Series 1390 has obtained a rating of 94 out of 100. Based on the Excellence 990 and maintaining some of its characteristics, such as the high autonomy of its battery, The robot has been completely renewed, both in functionality and in the much more elegant design, and in the quality of the materials..

But also, It has more power, a much more advanced navigation system, with room mapping and Wi-Fi connectivity, and many other improvements, which we will tell you throughout this analysis.

You may see the model in some stores Conga 1392. It is the same as the Conga 1390, but the brand differentiates them depending on the distribution channel.

Conga 1390: contents of the box

  • A robot Conga 1390 series.
  • A charging base.
  • Four side brushes (2 on the robot + 2 spare).
  • 1 central bristle and silicone brush.
  • 2 EPA filters (1 + 1 spare).
  • 2 mops (1 + 1 spare).
  • A remote control (batteries included).
  • A magnetic stripe accessory.
  • 1 self-cleaning brush.
  • Solids deposit.
  • Liquid tank.

Commissioning of the Conga 1390

As is usual in this type of devices, the first charge must be long lastingapproximately 12 hours (in the manual, the manufacturer recommends a minimum of 5 hours). In subsequent charges, 3-4 hours will be enough.

The charging base must be located in a place where there is enough space for the robot to detect it well and maneuver comfortably.. To do this, it is suggested (although not essential) a free space of one meter on each side of the base, and 2 meters forward. The charging base should rest firmly somewhere (usually on the wall) to prevent it from moving when the robot is charging.

Once loaded, the robot can be started using the button on its top, or comfortably using the remote control or using the app.. By default, the robot works in automatic mode, although from the remote control and from the application we can select one of the other modes, which we will discuss later.

Operation of the Conga series 1390

La Conga Series 1390 has intelligent navigation with room mapping, based on iTech Gyro technology, also available in Series 1190 and 1290. Unlike these, it also incorporates Wi-Fi connectivity and management through a mobile application.

Thus, The 1390 combines orderly navigation, in quadrants, which optimizes cleaning and increases the efficiency of the robot, with great comfort and ease of use: We can control our robot from anywhere we are, through the app.

Thanks to its mapping technology, it is also capable of choosing the best route to return to the charging base when it needs to, and makes a smart return home, taking the opportunity to clean up any last remains that may remain while returning.

If we need a deeper cleaning, the robot has a Deep Cleaning mode, which makes several passes over the same place, to achieve an optimal result.. In addition, it should be noted that it has 7 cleaning modes, so that you can choose the one that best suits you at all times.

On carpets, it also does a great job. It is capable of climbing carpets up to 2 centimeters thick (which many robots have big problems with) and detects when it is on one, automatically activating Turbo mode, for superior cleaning.

La Conga 1390 has 2 side brushes, with a studied design that allows them to better collect dirt towards the center, where Its redesigned motorized central brush, now in 2 materials (silicone and bristles), better traps dirt into the interior of the robot. There, its EPA filtering system keeps up to 99,7% of dust and mite microparticles inside. In this way, if the robot works regularly, you will notice that not only the floors, but also the environment, is cleaner.

Conga 1390 series below

If there are animals in your house, no problem. Its great suction power of 1.400 Pascals and its new rotating central brush ensure that practically no hair escapes.. And, also, since it is quite quiet, less than 64 decibels, it will not bother your pets.

In addition to the increase in power, the 1390 Series includes other interesting improvements, which allow it to perform great work, superior to that of the old one. Conga Excellence, which its users liked so much: the mop with two roughnesses and the bi-material brush, composed of bristles and silicone, allow the robot to achieve an optimal result, better removing dirt.

If you want to establish a restricted area, which the robot cannot access, you can do so through the magnetic strip that the robot comes with.

Programming Languages

Of course, The 1390 Series is programmable, and can be done easily, both through the remote control and the mobile app.. This way, when you get home, you will always have it clean. In any case, Wi-Fi connectivity also allows you to start it whenever you want and wherever you are.

Conga, the robot that scrubs

Cecotec robots have always been distinguished by including four functions, since in addition to vacuuming, they also sweep, mop and scrub.. This, in itself, places them above in terms of the functionalities they offer. But in the field of scrubbing, after several years offering this technology, Cecotec has also been one step ahead.

The deposit of the Conga 1390 is about 480 milliliters, of which approximately 250 correspond to the water itself, and 230 to the solids tank that it incorporates (since the Conga It is capable of scrubbing and vacuuming at the same time, something that few do). In any case, a capacity much higher than that of some Chinese robots, which are around 100.

Its scrubbing system, with intelligent water control, achieves a perfect dosage, so that it does not flood, as happens with other competing robots, with simpler systems.

Also now It has 3 scrubbing levels, to adapt to the type of surface, and incorporates Circle Start technology, so that, when you start scrubbing, it makes concentric circles to achieve uniform soaking of the mop..

And, if that were not enough, to all this we must add the new two-material mop, which does an excellent job of trapping more dirt.

In this way, the result obtained is very good, it may not equal what people achieve by scrubbing by hand, but it is more than enough for everyday use.

If you wish, you can add a little non-corrosive floor cleaner, in an approximate proportion of 10 milliliters per 100 of water, and you will get a clean and shiny floor, and a scented environment.

Conga Series 1390 scrubbing modes.

If you want to use only the mop, you simply have to put the liquid tank without water, and the microfiber cloth that it incorporates will do its job like a manual mop, trapping any dust that may be on the floor. If you lightly moisten the mop with a spray suitable for this type of element, the floor will shine.

Cleaning modes

La Conga 1390 Series is highly configurable, since, in addition to its three power levels, it has seven cleaning modes, so you can choose the most appropriate one at all times:

  • Gyros: la Conga 1390 will go through the entire home, dividing it into quadrants, navigating in an orderly manner, in the form of big Ss, and will return to the charging base by the shortest path, thanks to its memory.
  • Random: in random mode, cleans the whole house deeply, passing through some areas more than once, to achieve a deeper cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning: If you need a more thorough cleaning, this is the mode you need. The robot will make two passes, first in Gyro mode, to ensure a 100% cleaned surface, and then, in random mode, to do a review, with an apparently more random route, in which you can also move diagonally, to achieve a perfect cleaning.
  • Edges mode: If you want to go over those areas where dust accumulates, the edge mode is perfect. The Conga It will stick to the walls and furniture legs, and will eliminate dirt from nooks and corners.
  • Area mode: When dirt accumulates in a specific area, or if something has been dropped and scattered, area mode is ideal, since it will clean an area of 2x2 meters.
  • Returning home: as usual with robot vacuum cleaners, the Conga 1390 returns to the charging base automatically when it detects that its battery is low, or when it has finished cleaning. In any case, If you wish, you can send it manually to the base, from the remote control or through the app.
  • Manual: If you want to clean a specific area, you can control the robot using the arrows remote control, as if it were a remote-controlled car.

Advantages of Conga series 1390

Conga

It is a conga

La Conga Excellence 990 made history, leading sales of the robot vacuum cleaner market in Spain for a long period. Now, the new range of Conga It is based on the characteristics that made its predecessors strong, but with more quality and better features, to make Cecotec's motto a reality: offer more for less.

Conga 1390, 4 and 1

4 in 1 robot

It brings together four functions in a single device, as it sweeps, vacuums, mops and scrubs. And, what's more, it is capable of doing all the functions at the same time. And, above all, to do them well. This way, you will be able to keep your house clean, saving time, money and space in your home.

Smart navigation

Room mapping

Conga 1390 app series

Wifi connection and management from the app

The possibility of controlling the robot from the mobile application provides a great comfort and versatility to users. You can put the Conga 1390 whenever and wherever you want.

Conga 1390 series power

Effective in cleaning

Its 1,400 Pascals of suction power, a figure higher than that of most robots on the market, allow it to trap dirt effectively. Besides, his new motorized central brush, made of bristles and silicone, better removes dirt and its renewed bi-material mop traps dust very effectively.

Lithium battery

Autonomy

La Conga Series 1390 has a great autonomy, 160 minutes, equal to that of the Excellence 990. In addition, since its mapping system achieves much more efficient navigation, it is capable of cleaning large rooms with a single charge.

Conga Silent 1390 series.

Silent

Despite the increase in power compared to previous generations, la Conga 1390 remains very quiet, emitting less than 64 decibels. This way, it won't bother you, your pets, or your neighbors.

Conga Series 1390 cleaning the carpet.

rugs

If there are carpets in your house, the 1390 can be a great ally, thanks to its Turbo Clean Carpet system, which automatically increases power when it detects one, and its ability to climb carpets up to 20 millimeters thick.

Drawbacks

This robot is an excellent alternative for those looking for technology and features, which is why it is not easy to find fault with it. We can point out that its navigation system is not predictive, as in the case of the Conga 3090, since it performs the mapping as it progresses, and does not know how to continue the cleaning in the place where the previous one ended.

Opinions on the Conga 1390

100×100 recommended, I don't know anything about Roomba, but it has a great competitor in this Spanish brand. Clean out of 10.

Brutal, I am very happy with the purchase. It has surprised me, the topic of app and seeing the map is amazing; And I also start it when I'm away from home. All perfect.

If you can't buy the 3090, this is the next one, and it also includes app. Great work and technology created in Spain is going to give a lot to talk about.

For the price, it is excellent for me. For 30 euros more than the Excellence 990 you have a lot more applications and you can manage it from your mobile.

Just perfect, I think it is the best robot you can buy for that price.

The best robot, and at an honest price. I have 3 robots and this one outperforms them all, including the Roomba. 5 stars deserved. The app is simple and easy to use, the battery lasts a long time and it has super power on carpets.

Conga 1390 series vs Conga 3090

La Conga Series 1390 is the second most advanced robot in the range, only surpassed by the Conga 3090. This is why it is an excellent option for those who want a robot with very advanced features, but cannot afford what the 3090 costs.

You may be wondering which one interests you the most, since do diverses common characteristics, but there are also algunas differences, which should be clear. We'll tell you then:

similarities

  • 4 in 1 robot:  both robots  perform the 4 functions  (they sweep, vacuum, mop and scrub).
  • They are programmable and remote control, both from the application and through the remote control.
  • Both robots have systems to establish restricted areas, which the robot will not access.
  • They have a deep cleaning mode, which will pass through each site twice, to achieve an unparalleled result.
  • Turbo Carpet Boost: Both devices activate maximum power when they detect a carpet, for a great result on this type of surfaces.
  • They have 3 power levels, eco, normal and turbo, so you can adjust the one that best suits the type of cleaning you want to do.

Differences

Navigation system

smart navigation system

The 3090's laser-based navigation and mapping system is more advanced than the 1390's.. El laser of 3090 It has a range of 8 meters and maps the entire house predictively.l turn it on, He is already drawing a map of the house and the obstacles.

The 1390 gyro system It takes a route through a system of quadrants, which it runs through in an orderly manner., and makes the map as navigate around the house.

Management from the app

Mobile app

In the case of the 3090, the application allows you to control the robot in its entirety, using all its possibilities. The basic ones, like start or stop it, program it, choose a cleaning mode and know What has the robot cleaned? ButAlso includes greater interactivity with the robot, since it can be delimited from the app a zone or a specific point en el that we want you to clean, or a restricted area that we do not want you to access.

In the case of the 1390, operation from the app allows you to control the robot, to start or stop it, program it, choose a cleaning mode or know some information about the cleaning cycles, but the app is not interactive, we cannot interact with it and, for example, restricted zones cannot be established (which, in the 1390, we have to establish using a magnetic stripe).

Power

Power

La Conga 3090 reaches 2.000 Pascals of suction power, placing it at the highest level on the market, along with the Xiaomi Vacuum 2. Maximum power for the deepest cleaning. In addition, it has 3 power levels (Eco, Normal and Turbo), so you can choose the one that best suits you in each case.

La Conga 1390 achieves an impressive 1.400 Pascals of suction power, above the 1.200 with whichntaba the super sales Conga excellence 990. Like the 3090, it has 3 power levels and is at the top of the ranking of the currently existing robot vacuum cleaners, so both do an excellent job.

Battery

Lithium battery

The 3090 has an autonomy of 110 minutes, below the 1390. This is explained by its greater power, although In reality, it is a relative disadvantage, because the 3090 is more efficient in cleaning, thanks to its laser mapping and, furthermore, it counts with Unlimited Cleaning technology, so that it will recharge automatically and continue cleaning where it left off.

La Conga 1390 todayIt has the impressive 160 minutes of the Excellence 990, in addition to having a more orderly and efficient navigation. This allows it to clean large rooms on a single charge, although it does not have the technology to continue from where it left off once it has been recharged.

Cleaning modes

Cleaning modes

La Conga 3090 is possibly the most configurable robot on the market, and its 10 cleaning modes are a good example. In addition to the automatic mode, which will do the job by itself, cleaning 100% of our home, millimeter by millimeter, it has spot mode, edge mode, deep cleaning, area, restricted areas, spiral, return home, manual , and the sensational Scrubbing mopping mode.

La Conga 1390 also has numerous configuration possibilities, with 7 cleaning modes. Unlike the 3090, it does not have a spiral mode (although it has an area mode to clean specific areas), it does not have a restricted zone mode (although they can be delimited using the magnetic strip) and it does not have a Scrubbing mode.

Height

Cleaning under furniture

The laser turret that the 3090 has makes it this robot is taller than others in the range CongaWith its 9,6 centimeters.

La Conga 1390 is only 7,5 centimeters high. This way, if you have furniture with a reduced height, perhaps the latter is better for you.

High efficiency filtering

High efficiency filtering

La Conga 3090 has a HEPA filtration system, which traps up to 99,9% of dust and mite microparticles.

La Conga 1390 features an advanced EPA filtration system, which traps up to 99,7% of dust and mite microparticles, also leaving a very clean environment.

scrubbing system

scrubbing system

Se has improved the Excellence 990 system, which was already working reasonably well. In the case of 1390now has one more deposit great (400 milliliters, instead of 300)It has 3 scrubbing modes and incorporates the Circle Start system, which allows the mop to soak more uniformly.

For its part, The 3090 has the innovative Scrubbing system, a whole revolution in this section, although its tank is smaller (170 milliliters), but enough to clean medium-sized rooms, thanks to its good water dosage.

Conga series 3090

Guarantee

La Conga 1390 is manufactured by the Spanish company Cecotec, so it has a 2-year warranty and technical service in our country (and in our language), unlike other robot vacuum cleaners from Chinese brands, in which the warranty may only be one year, and managing a claim can be complicated, due to the language and distance.

Maintenance

It is advisable, after each operation of the robot, to clean the central roller and the side brushes, as well as the high efficiency filter. In this way, we ensure that the robot will not have obstructions that cause worse performance. To remove the hairs from the central brush in a simple way, we can use the blade of the included tool to cut them.

Depending on the frequency of use of the robot, approximately every 6 months it is advisable to thoroughly check the brushes and filter to see if they need to be changed. Spare parts can be purchased directly on the official website.

The sensors and wheels and wheels of the robot must also be cleaned periodically, to clean them of any dirt that could prevent the proper functioning of these elements.

Why buy one Conga series 1390

If you are looking for a complete and modern robot, with room mapping, controllable through a app on mobile, powerful, capable of cleaning all types of floors, silent and with great autonomy, Conga Series 1390 can be your choice.

Si prefieres compare un Spanish robot vacuum cleaner, which includes four functions in a single device, effective and belonging to the leading brand in the sector in our country, and at a very reasonable price, the 1390 can be an excellent option.

  1. Hello, Josefa, thank you for coming to our website.

It could be the soil, depending on what it is like, that needs more water. In any case, check the water flow level, in the app or on the remote control (the button at the bottom, in the middle), which are 1 (light scrubbing), 2 (medium) and 3 (high), in case you can adjust it better.

I want to do it from the Portable Wi-Fi Zone of my smartphone with which I connect my computer and my TV, but it is impossible for me to link it.

    • Hello, José Vicente, thank you for coming to our website.

If we have understood you correctly, in your case, you do not get the Internet connection from an ADSL/fiber router, but from your mobile phone. If we are not very mistaken, you would need two cell phones to do it, one, from which you would share the connection, and another, on which you would have the app, you cannot do it from the same cell phone.

  5. Hello everyone.
Yesterday I bought one Conga 1390 and at the moment I have no argument to give an opinion for or against. The little that I have been able to try it, I really liked it.
The question that I would like to resolve is whether the day of the week and the time can be programmed so that it works in a specific mode or if it always, by programming, takes the automatic mode as it seems to be at first.
My second question is to know when to control it through "Alexa" or "Google Assistance."

    • Hello Captain, thanks for stopping by.

As for programming, yes, it is as you say, it comes out in automatic-Gyro mode.

In relation to voice control, we couldn't say, the apps are updated periodically, including new functionalities and improvements, but we couldn't say if they are going to include it or not.

  6. Good morning, not long ago we acquired a conga 1390 because the previous one stopped working and without the possibility of repair (Carrefour paid us the money) my question is the following: is it normal that all the hair of our pets (two boxers) stay at the entrance to the warehouse and in this alone sand and other debris get in? Because in the previous model it sucked very well and everything stayed in the tank.
Thank you and I await your response.

    • Hello, Eleuterio, thank you for visiting us.

The normal thing is that everything goes into the tank, sometimes the hair may get caught in the central brush or on the sides. In homes with pets (or people with long hair) it is advisable to clean the central and side brushes often (practically every time you clean them), since the hairs can become tangled and cause blockages. It is also advisable to check and clean the filter, and empty the tank often.

  7. Hello, a doubt is normal that conga 1390 leaves areas of the house uncleaned and yet repeats the passes in others or is mine defective?
It also happens to me that although in my home the Wi-Fi signal reaches all the rooms, there are areas where the vacuum cleaner does not receive the signal.

    Reply
    • Hello, Maria, thank you for visiting us.

La Conga 1390 maps as it moves through the house, thanks to its gyroscopic system that works like a compass. He makes right angles and walks through the rooms, but he does not follow a predetermined map, so it is not unusual for him to take a different route every day, or to do it in a not completely orderly way.

On the other hand, as for not cleaning all the rooms, what occurs to us is that before finishing, it detects that the battery is low and is no longer enough, and returns to the base to charge (and this robot, unlike other higher-end ones, such as the Conga 3090, the Xiaomi Vacuum 2 or the Roomba 980, for example, does not have charge and continue, that is, it does not know where it has finished cleaning before charging, to resume cleaning there). You can try cleaning at the low power level, to take advantage of the greater autonomy it provides, and see if it can cover the entire house. As for losing the Wi-Fi signal at some point, we couldn't say, sometimes the signal is not uniform, and different devices do not pick it up in the same way, or even the same device, sometimes it has more signal than others. . It may also depend on the obstacles that the signal encounters, walls, ceilings, doors, etc., are obstacles to the waves, and it is recommended that the router be located in an elevated area, without obstacles, and as central as possible within the home.

There are still many things that I don't know.
In the app, cd I enter the profile, I get two errors: left wheel does not touch the ground and power light does not turn on during charging
I don't know how to solve it??
I also don't know if I put it to wash when it returns to its charging base on its own?
    Thank you

    • Hello, Beatriz, thank you for visiting our website.

The wheel warning could be due to having climbed over an obstacle, could it be? Regarding the power light, the Conga 1390 has a specific battery indicator, which is the one that lights up. On the other hand, when mopping it would return to its charging base, but you have to be careful, precisely to avoid this, since it is not advisable for it to climb onto the base with the wet mop, as it could damage something.

The battery, removing possible obstacles and at power 2, has lasted me at most 80 minutes, is this normal? Thank you.

    • Hello, Enrique, thank you for visiting us.

It is true that there is some confusion in the names of the modes. Gyro mode is the automatic mode or the default mode. To activate it, you simply have to press the top button on the robot, or press play on the remote or in the application, and the robot will clean the entire house in an orderly manner (that is, you do not have to enter modes to activate it).

The battery life is set to optimal conditions, that is, at the low power level and without obstacles, carpets, etc. Depending on these circumstances, it may be shortened. Do tests, also at power level 1, low, and see how long it lasts like this.

    • Hello Visitation, thank you for coming to our website.

The theoretical autonomy of Conga 1390 is 160 minutes, so 40 also seems little to us. We are going to go through possible reasons.

A couple of preliminary questions. It is possible that in the first few days, the battery has not yet reached its full potential (although there should not be that much difference). Another thing to keep in mind is that when charging the robot, the side switch must be in the on position. On the other hand, notice if it flashes when charging, and when it has finished charging, it should remain fixed. Clean the terminals (the metal charging plates) well, both on the robot and the base, with a soft cloth.

On the other hand, the theoretical autonomy (both in this robot and in others) is under ideal conditions (such as the consumption of cars, for example). That is, it would be in eco mode and on smooth floors, without obstacles... Therefore, if you use the average or maximum power, the autonomy will be reduced proportionally to the increase in power. On the other hand, if there are many obstacles, carpets, etc., it will also be affected. Try the different power levels to see how much it lasts.

On the other hand, regarding what you say about the charging base, make sure (if this is not the case) that it is in a place where the robot can detect it and maneuver well, that there is space both on the sides and in front. It could also be that, depending on the shape of the house and the distance, it lost connection to the base at some point, so you can try moving it if you see that it keeps happening.

    • Hello, Veronica, thank you for visiting our website.

Well, it's a difficult question, within the new generation of robot vacuum cleaners that have come out in recent times, in the various brands, it must be said that they are devices that have improved a lot in relation to those that existed just a couple of years ago, and at prices more affordable.

Within what there is, this Conga 1390 is, from our point of view, one of the best options, in that it combines many advanced features (mapping, app control) along with a good scrubbing capacity and a notable suction power of 1.400 Pascals, for a price of just over 200 euros (at the time of writing this comment, it is 209).

Another option that seems very interesting to us is that of Xiaomi E35 Plus, with a gyroscopic navigation system and that also scrubs (although its scrubbing system is not as perfect as that of the Conga), and it has even greater power, although it is also more expensive (it costs 250 euros right now). Around 270 euros, you could also consider the Xiaomi Vacuum, with laser navigation. And if you are already going around 300 euros, you could opt for the Conga 3090.

What is the difference between standby and suspension? The truth is that the manual in that section creates a lot of confusion for me... When is sleep mode used?
And another little thing, when it is charging, the battery flashes from red to blue but the manual also says that the power button lights up blue... But it is not my case... Is it normal???
      Thank you very much

      • Hello, Lorena, thank you for coming to our website and for sharing your experience.

Standby mode and suspension are very similar, they are two states in which the robot is "at rest." In standby it would be waiting to start up (by pressing the central button you would activate it), and in suspension it would be a little more stopped, it would be like a deeper rest. When the robot has been on standby for ten minutes, it goes into sleep mode, it does it by itself.
As for charging, in the case of the 1390, when charging, the battery light flashes, just as you say. In the case of the 1390, unlike other models, it has this specific button for it (in others, the one that lights up is the central one, because they do not have a battery indicator). So we understand that it's okay.

La Conga 1390 works well in homes with pets, so it may be suitable for you. However, if she sheds a lot of hair, you can also consider Conga 1090, which is designed specifically for this (although it does not map or is controllable through an app, like the 1390), and other options, such as roomba e5, for example (although this one is already more expensive).

    • Hello, Manuel, thank you for visiting our website.

That's right, both this robot vacuum cleaner and many others on the market are compatible with the 2,4 GHz network, and not with the 5 GHz network. They do this this way, among other things, because, although the 5 GHz ones are faster, the 2,4 have more range and fewer problems with obstacles and wave bounces, etc.

The usual thing (we don't know if this is your case) is that the routers are dual, and you have the possibility of choosing between these two types of networks, in which case one will come out with a name that says 5G or similar, which will be 5GHz , and you must choose the other one, the "normal" one, which will be the 2,4 GHz one.

It starts working, I hit the stop button and the button to return to its base, it doesn't come off, it happens maybe every two or three days when I don't put it to work, can you tell me what could be the cause? • Hello, Virginia, thanks for coming here again.

When not working, the robot should be in the charging base, and it should be turned on (check the side switch to see if it is). With this, it will charge the battery until it is full and will remain on stand-by until you order something from it. But check that the switch is on, because if not, the battery would discharge little by little and that's why the robot beeps.

      A greeting.

    • Well yes, even if it is properly placed in the charging base with the side button on, if you do not put it into operation every 2-3 days it emits series of 5 annoying beeps. And yes, it almost always happens at dawn. I came to that conclusion after changing the charging base so that it had enough space, checking that it was charging correctly, having the rollers and wheels perfectly clean, and other possible problems.
I have chosen to return it. I don't want to have to get out of bed every 2 days to have to disconnect it (with the loss of programming that entails).
I have searched everywhere for information about the 5 beeps and it is impossible to find entries. They don't say this anywhere and I consider it to be quite important. Contacting cecotec is an impossible mission. A shame.
      I hope I have helped.

The beeps and red light are indicative of an incident. Several consecutive beeps and red lighting may correspond to low battery. Perhaps it was not located correctly in the base and has been discharged. Also indicate that, for it to charge, the robot switch must be in the on position.

My question is, can I configure all the cleaning modes (both vacuum and scrubbing) from the remote control? And another question, should I leave it 24 hours with the side button on and in standby mode connected to the charging base? The use I intend to give it is to run it every 2 days (more or less).

      • Hi Patricia.

Well, the truth is that we had never considered those questions. It can be done before or after charging it, although it is normal or usual to do it after finishing the job (empty the tanks, clean the brushes of hair and other debris, etc.); wheels, sensors and so on, it is not usually necessary to do it so often, but it is necessary to clean them from time to time (although if you have stairs in the house, it is important to do so to ensure that the anti-fall sensors work correctly).

In practice, we do not usually turn off the robot, although it could be done, for greater safety. If you do, keep in mind that if you have it programmed, the programming will be erased.

Yes, the recommendations of robot manufacturers, in general, are to leave them on the charging base when the robot is not in operation (it is only usually recommended to take it out of there/turn it off when they are going to be inoperative for a long period of time, but we would be talking more like weeks). So in your case, yes, we recommend that you leave it like this.

Good afternoon, since Reyes I have had a 1390, at first it was a lot of trouble, because there is not much information about the company that manufactures these devices, I admit that I was lost, he did not consider me bad with the technologies and this cost me a lot, but in The last few days have been very good, well today I turned it off from the side switch to do its daily cleaning, and once everything was cleaned and placed I returned it to its base, I connected it again and what was my surprise? Well, my WiFi doesn't pick up, I go to the app and it says that the device is disconnected, hoping that it was something about my router or line that would happen, I have put it to work with the remote, being pending, because it didn't make a map and it didn't I would know when to finish, I have sent it home, I have waited to do the charging again and I have started to get the WiFi again following the initial steps and there is no way, there is no signal, the pilot that indicated that there was WiFi doesn't turn on, I don't know what could have happened, much less what to do!!
For the Cecotec service, it's almost better not to call them, they are quite terrible and ungrateful to their customers. Sometimes, robots connectable via Wifi lose the connection, we have experienced it in this and other brands (and in other types of devices as well, things on the airwaves).

You can try the following: restart the robot on the side button, and wait a while. On the other hand, to get the Wi-Fi well, at least when connecting it, keep the robot and the mobile phone from which you are going to make the connection close to the router, to ensure that they have a good signal.
Sign out of the app and sign back in. After all this, start the process again, pressing the button for several seconds, etc., just as the instructions tell you.

      • Hello, Migue, thanks for visiting us.

From our point of view, it is worth it... In our opinion, it is not that there are enough users with problems, but that, since it is a best-selling robot, it is a matter of statistics. Even if only 0,1% of those sold failed, if 100.000 were sold, there would be 100 users complaining (in addition, there is an innate tendency to complain more about what is wrong than to talk about what is right, it is something very studied by marketing experts).

And, to give an example, in the case of the excellent iPhones, failure rates (which have been improving over the years) were, until recently, in double digits. In short, what we want to say is that it is logical, just as it is more likely to find a dissatisfied user of a Renault than of a Ferrari, or it is easier to find someone who complains about a Roomba than about a Proscenic, but not because a brand is more reliable than another, but simply because there are many more users.

There could be several reasons, you should see if it gives you an error code (if it lights up red or blue).

First, try turning the robot off at the switch and turning it back on to see if that fixes it.

Next, check to see if it has loaded correctly (maybe it just hasn't). Place it with the robot terminals (some metal plates underneath) on top of the charging base terminals. To charge, the robot must be with the switch on. The light will flash and stay steady when charged.

On the other hand, you have to see if the brushes may be clogged for some reason, and if the wheels and sensors are clean, since, if not, it could cause an error.

That's right, when not in use, the robot is left on the charging base, where it will remain in stand-by. This is a recommendation that is valid, in general, for robot vacuum cleaners, the vast majority of manufacturers recommend it this way, to optimize battery life. The only exception would be if the robot is not going to be used for an extended period of time (several weeks), in which case it is recommended to turn it off at the switch (it should also be noted that turning it off will deconfigure the programming).

In principle, anti-collision sensors serve to minimize collisions of the robot with walls or furniture legs. In addition, the robot has a bumper that absorbs impacts if they occur.

On the other hand, regarding the maintenance of the Conga 1390, you can see this video, which is quite detailed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_U_tHNkPi0.

What you say about the first charge, in the end, ultimately, it is about the first charge being long lasting, longer than a normal charge, to ensure that the battery is filled to 100% that first time, and to achieve better performance and longer battery life. If you've had it for 5 hours, which is what the manual says, it's fine.

Indeed, as you say, with the 3090 you can create a restricted area for the carpet, and for the 1390, you can use the magnetic strip, to prevent the Conga go to that area.

The magnetic strip is a black strip that is placed on the floor, in the place you want to delimit, so that the robot, when it gets there, does not cross it, it works as if it were a wall. The difference between the two is that in 1390 you mark a line beyond which it does not pass, while in 3090 a perimeter is made. And in the Conga 1390 is a physical element, a band, that is located on the ground, while in the Conga 3090 is a delimitation that is made in the app, drawing a box on the map.

    • Hello Mary, thank you for coming to our website.

They are both great robots, and an excellent alternative in this price range of around 200 euros.

The Ilife a6 is a robot that belongs to the new generation of Ilife, included in its A series (which is not only focused on hard floors, but also on carpets). Also, like the Conga 1390, has the possibility of delimiting restricted areas and with a long-lasting battery, up to 160 minutes. Currently, it is on Amazon for about 220 euros y on AliExpress for 195.

We consider that in comparison, the 1390 is much more complete, since it can scrub, its suction power is greater (1.400 Pascals compared to 1.000), its gyroscopic navigation system is more advanced and tidy, cleaning up to 100% of the surface , it is manageable via app, it has a slightly larger tank and is more configurable, all for a price that now, taking advantage of the sales, is very similar to that of the A6.

This robot (like the vast majority of those on the market) has anti-fall sensors and anti-collision sensors, so it avoids both one thing and the other.

To explain it a little more, the anti-fall sensors of robots are usually located at the bottom, in the front area of the robot, near the steering wheel, in the case of Conga. When they detect that there is an unevenness, they brake the robot, thus preventing falls (it is advisable to clean the sensors with a cloth from time to time). To avoid collisions, in addition to the anti-collision sensors, the robot also has a bumper, which cushions any that it may occasionally have (although, in this sense, the Conga They are quite respectful of objects).

I chose it because I had to control it through the app and it is super convenient, I put it to work from work or from the cafeteria and when I get home it is always clean.

    • Hi Sandra, thanks for stopping by.

Yes, the 1390 and 1290 are quite similar, but with the small (big) difference of being able to control it through the application, which provides you with great comfort and versatility when operating the robot.

      Thanks for sharing your experience.

  37. Hi how are things. I have read your interesting analysis carefully and I only have one doubt left. I want to buy a robot and I have already decided but they have left me with a doubt, I don't know whether to buy the 1390 or stretch out more and go for the 3090 even though it is out of my control. a crumb of the budget I had planned to spend

    • Hello, Aleix, thank you for visiting our website.

Well, the truth is, it is a choice that is not easy to make, it depends on each person, the budget they manage and the needs they have... The positive part of the matter is that both are excellent options, so whoever it is the choice, you get an excellent robot.

La Conga 3090 is more configurable and more powerful, its filtering system is better (although the difference is really very small, perhaps only interesting in the case of people with allergies or other similar conditions), its navigation is laser and its scrubbing system It's unique. It is one of the best robots, if not the best, on the market.

But Conga 1390 is also an exceptional robot, with great power, room mapping and also manageable through the app, with a great scrubbing system and for a super reasonable price. Perhaps we are not adding anything that we have not said before, we are sorry if we cannot help you more to decide.

  38. Hello, I am interested in this model because of the mopping, I wanted to know if it puddles a lot or not and if it can collect water when the floor gets wet, like a mop since I have two small children and it is quite common for my floor to get wet.
    Thank you

    • Hello, Sandoval, thank you for your visit.

The scrubbing is well dosed, very refined, it does not pool, as sometimes happens with other robot models, especially if they get stuck.

On the other hand, the other thing you mention should not be done, it is not advisable to use the robot to collect external water. The water it uses is what is in the tank, which soaks the mop little by little to scrub, but it is not designed to collect.

  39. In my case I have not had a good experience with this robot. It does not map correctly, so it goes around the apartment (about 50m2 useful) for almost 2 hours until it runs out of battery. He doesn't know where he has gone, being able to do a room several times, or forgetting a part of the house. The map that draws in the App does not make any sense. Most days, it doesn't know how to return to the base to charge and I find it in the middle of a room with no battery.
I have been trying for several weeks to get Cecotec to give me a solution (replace the product, return the money or fix it), and beyond telling me to uninstall and reinstall the App, remove and replace the battery, or put it in eco mode, they don't give me real solutions. I have tried everything they told me several times and nothing works. Instead of assuming that their product is defective and replacing it, they are dragging their feet for the moment.
I do not recommend this product or this company.

    • Hello Victor, thank you for visiting us.

We are sorry for what happened to you, it is not normal, but it can always happen that there is a device that does not work correctly, even in the best brands. The normal thing is that the robot returns by itself to the charging base, it returns when it still has 15% battery left, so it should have no problems returning. This model, being gyroscopic, has intelligent navigation. In auto mode, the robot will first do gyro (zig-zag) mode and then do edge mode. With 2 hours of autonomy it should give you time.

You can also try, if you have not done so, to change the location of the charging base, in case that was the problem and it did not detect it well or was not able to go to it properly. For our part, if you wish, we will forward this issue to the brand, so that it can be taken into account or expedited as much as possible (please send us the details of the claim through our Contact Form, to be able to carry out this management).

  40. HEHEHEH THAT'S CURIOUS, I BUYED THIS ROBOT PRECISELY BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY PUT THERE, THE 3090 WAS A BIT AWAY FROM ME AND THEN I DEDICATED TO THE 1390. I CAN ONLY SAY THAT I AM SUPER HAPPY WITH THIS ROBOT, IT WORKS PERFECTLY, IT ALWAYS FINDS SOMETHING TO CLEAN, I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE DIRT GETS FROM AND THAT HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY DAY, I HAVE NEVER HAD MY APARTMENT SO CLEAN AND FOR A LITTLE OVER 200 EUROS... IF I KNEW ABOUT IT BEFORE I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT A LONG TIME AGO, WHAT A CONVENIENCE!!!

    • Hello, Rodrigo, thank you for visiting our website.

We agree, then :-). The Conga 1390 is an excellent option, there is no doubt: room mapping for 100% cleaning of the surface, controllable via app, 4 in 1, super configurable, a high power level... and for a super reasonable price. Without a doubt, it is a great purchase. We are glad you liked it.

      Greetings and Happy New Year.

I've been with him for 2 days and the truth is I'm not sure if I'll do it, I have 2 little ones and a lot of things on the floor and I don't know if it's going to work well for me...I haven't gotten the hang of it...

    • Hello LPM, thanks for visiting us.

Don't worry, it's very simple, in a few days, you will have it under control... If you want, take a look at the video we have in this article about using the app, there you can see how to connect it (if you haven't already done so) and how to manage the different functionalities of the robot.

In any case, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask us, and we will be happy to respond.

Things on the floor... it happens to many of us. It is recommended that when the robot works, it has as clear a surface as possible, but sometimes it is difficult :-).

  42. I am very happy with this robot. I had a Roomba for several years, and when it started to fail I was looking at opinions and decided on this model thanks to you. At first I had a little problem with the app, but now they have updated it and it works perfectly. It has nothing to envy of my old Rombi, if not quite the opposite, I think it is a much better robot and even more, it scrubs. Totally recommended.

    • Hello Pep, thank you for your visit and for sharing your experience.

We are glad that our article has been useful to you, the truth is that the Conga 1390 is a great robot, which for a very reasonable price offers its own high-end features, superior to most competing robots, even many that double or triple the price.
