Conga Series 1190, room mapping for perfect cleaning

The recent renewal of the range of robot vacuum cleaners Conga Cecotec has brought many new features, and the Conga Series 1190 is one of the most interesting.

For an extremely competitive price, very similar to what the best seller had Conga Excellence 990, we can access a modern, powerful and silent robot, with an intelligent and orderly navigation system, with mapping and memory, characteristics typical of models with prices much higher than those of this robot from the Spanish brand.

Conga 1190 series: valuation

El Conga Series 1190 has obtained 94 rating points out of 100. Maintains the foundation that made the Conga Excellence 990, the best-selling robot in Spain, but it has renewed and improved practically all aspects of this 4-in-1 robot: the vacuum system and its power, the mopping system, the mop and, above all, the navigation technology, are far superior in this Conga 1190.

Box contents

  • A robot Conga 1190 series.
  • A charging base.
  • Four side brushes (2 on the robot + 2 spare).
  • 1 central bristle and silicone brush.
  • 2 EPA filters (1 + 1 spare).
  • 2 mops (1 + 1 spare).
  • A remote.
  • 1 self-cleaning brush.
  • Solids deposit.
  • Liquid tank.

Commissioning of the Conga 1190

As usual, the first charge of the robot should be about 12 hours (subsequently, the robot is charged in about 3 or 4 hours).

We will place the charging base in a place where the robot can maneuver and detect it well, preferably with a free space of approximately one meter on each side, and 2 meters forward). The base must be well supported (normally on the wall) to prevent it from moving when the robot is charging.

The robot has a switch on the side to turn it on and off. Normally, it will be on, we will only turn it off if it is going to spend a long period of time without working.

Once charged, it can be put into operation using the button on the top, or conveniently using the remote control. By default, the robot works in automatic mode, although from the remote control we can select one of the other modes, which we will discuss later.

Operation of the Conga series 1190

The 1190 Series is the first to have an intelligent navigation system with room mapping, thanks to iTech Gyro technology (the 1290 and 1390 series also have it).

Thus, The robot has a fluid and orderly movement, drawing large straight lines, thanks to its multiple sensors and memory, which allows you to remember the route, to do it faster and more efficiently.

iTech Gyro mapping navigation technology

It is also possible to use the Deep Cleaning mode that the robot incorporates, if a deeper cleaning is desired.. In it, the Conga 1190 operates at maximum power, passing through each site several times, in two phases: first in Gyro mode, drawing large straight lines, and then in auto mode, also performing diagonal movements.

Furthermore, thanks to this technology, the robot makes a smart return home. What does this mean? As usual, the robot has self-charging, that is, when the cleaning cycle has finished or when it is running out of battery, it automatically returns to the base. With the smart return home, the robot takes advantage of this return trip to finish the cleaning, collecting any remains of dirt that may remain, optimizing your work and gaining efficiency.

MoreoverIs a Conga, which means that you have 4 functions in a single device: sweep, vacuum, mop and scrub. Furthermore, the robot can do them at the same time. All this clearly differentiates it from the competition., where many devices only vacuum/sweep, and some of those that mop and scrub, cannot vacuum at the same time.

The 1190 has 2 side brushes, which attract dirt to the center, where its redesigned motorized central brush, now in 2 materials (silicone and bristles), better traps dirt.

The robot has one of the highest suction powers on the market, 1.400 Pascals, so there is no dust or hair to escape. In addition, it has 3 power levels, so you can adapt the cleaning according to your convenience: Eco mode, for superficial cleaning, which operates very quietly and saves battery life; normal mode, for regular cleaning, without giving up power; and the turbo mode, in which the robot's 1.400 Pascals of suction power are deployed, for impeccable cleaning.

Conga 1190 series cleaning

For its part, The EPA filtering system keeps up to 99,7% of dust and mite microparticles inside the robot, achieving a cleaner environment. If the robot usually works in your home, you will notice the difference.

La Conga Series 1190 is, of course, suitable for homes with pets. Its power, its large tank and its new rotating brush guarantee excellent cleaning of the hair of our favorite animals.

In addition to the increase in power, the 1190 Series incorporates other improvements with respect to the Conga Excellence 990 (until recently, the brand's reference), such as the two-material mop, and the bi-material brush, composed of bristles and silicone. Both allow the robot to obtain a better cleaning result, since they are able to better remove dirt.

Conga Series 1190 2-material mop

Carpets are another area in which Conga 1190 performs well. Thanks to its great suction power and its ability to lift up carpets up to 2 centimeters thick (something that many competing robots have problems with) make the 1190 an excellent alternative if you have carpets in your home, especially if they are thick.

Programming Languages

La Conga Series 1190 is programmable, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Programming is done, very simply, through the remote control. This way, you can ensure, if you wish, that you find your home clean when you return home.

In the video you can see it step by step:

Conga, the robot that scrubs

Cecotec robots have always distinguished themselves by also including the ability to scrub, compared to other options on the market that only vacuum. After several years offering scrubbing technology, the Spanish company has perfected it, placing itself far above its competitors..

The new range of robot vacuum cleaners Conga They identify perfectly with the title of this section. Conga It's the robot that scrubs. In fact, it is a 4-in-1 robot, which sweeps, vacuums, mops and scrubs, and is also capable of doing everything at the same time.

But that is not all. It now incorporates a water tank with a capacity of 400 milliliters, much larger than robots from other brands, which are around 100.

Moreover, The scrubbing system has been improved, with intelligent water control, for perfect dosage. The Conga Series 1190 has a solenoid valve system to achieve the exact water level, without leaving puddles, as sometimes happens with other robots, which equip simpler systems.

This, Together with the new two-texture mop, it effectively traps dirt, achieving a better result on any type of surface.

What's more, the Conga 1190, thanks to its new Cleaner Deluxe system, It has 3 scrubbing levels, and incorporates the Circle Start system, which starts scrubbing by making a series of concentric circles, y Soak the mop more evenly to achieve the best results when mopping your floors..

Conga Series 1190 3 scrubbing levels

If we want to leave the floor even cleaner, we can add a little non-foam floor cleaner to the water (very little, just a few drops, since we must take into account that the capacity of the tank is much smaller than that of a bucket).

For varnished wooden floors, only the mop can be used. The result obtained is very good, thanks to its two-material microfiber mop., and it can even be better if we moisten it slightly with a special spray for parquet.

Cleaning modes

La Conga Series 1190 has six cleaning modes, so you can choose the one that best suits what you need at any given time:

  • Gyro: is the default mode; in it, will cover 100% of the surface, sailing in a straight line, in the form of large esses, and will return to the charging base quickly and efficiently, thanks to its memory.
  • Deep Cleaning: when a more thorough cleaning is required. In this mode, the robot cleans at maximum power in two phases; first in Gyro mode, to ensure a 100% cleaned surface, and then, in auto mode, in which it reviews the cleaning, making a seemingly more random route, in which it also moves diagonally, to eliminate any trace of dust or dirt that may remain.
  • Edges mode: Corners and edges tend to accumulate dirt, so this mode is perfect for getting rid of it.. The robot will navigate attached to the walls and the legs of the furniture, to leave every corner of the house spotless.
  • Spiral: it is the classic spot mode, present in most robots on the market. In her Conga spins in ever-widening spirals around the trigger point. Very useful when dirt is concentrated in one place, or when we have dropped something and it has scattered on the floor.
  • Coming home: the Conga 1190 automatically returns to the charging base when it has finished cleaning, or when it detects that the battery is low. However, also you can manually activate its return to base, from the corresponding button on the remote control.
  • Manual: if you want to clean a specific area, punctually, you can direct the robot manually, using the arrows on the remote control.

Advantages of Conga series 1190

Conga

It is a Conga

Cecotec has managed to lead the vacuum cleaner market in Spain, and its Conga Excellence 990 has captivated thousands of users with its incredible value for money. Now, This new generation steps even stronger: very high performance, at a price that remains very contained.

Conga 990 series scrubbing

4 in 1 robot

Sweep, vacuum, mop and scrub. And, furthermore, it is capable of doing all the functions at the same time. And, above all, to do them well. You will not need two devices, which, in addition to time, will save money and space in your home.

Conga 1190 Series iTech Gyro

Room mapping

The addition of iTech Gyro technology provides the 1190 series with intelligent navigation, which adapts to the home, mapping it and remembering the routes, thanks to its memory. More efficient and more effective than robots with random navigation.

Conga 1190 series power

Powerful

La Conga 1190 It has three power levels; from Eco, for light cleaning, through normal, for everyday use, to turbo mode, in which reaches 1.400 Pascals of suction power, a figure within the reach of few robots on the market. There will be no dirt that can resist it.

Conga 1090 series autonomy

Great autonomy

this robot maintains the great autonomy that the Excellence 990 already enjoyed, 160 minutes. But, in addition, together with its iTech Gyro navigation system, much more efficient, it allows you to clean large rooms with a single charge.

Conga Silent 1190 Series

Silent

At less than 64 decibels, the 1190 series of Conga It is very quiet. It can be running while you do other activities, it will not bother you, your animals, or your neighbors.

Conga Mop detail series 2 materials

New cleaning items

The mop has been improved, now with two textures, and the motorized central brush, made up of bristles and silicone., to better remove dirt and achieve a perfect finish.

Conga Series 1190 cleaning carpet

rugs

The 1190 Series will do a great job on your carpets, thanks to its great suction power. In addition, it has no problems, like other robots, in climbing carpets of a certain thickness, since it is capable of climbing up to 2 centimeters.

Drawbacks

It is not easy to find fault with this robot. It does many things, and it does them well. And, what's more, at a very reasonable price. As a most relevant aspect, we can mention that the turbo mode is not activated automatically when getting on a carpet, as other models of the brand do, such as the Conga 1090 or the all-powerful Conga 3090.

Guarantee

The robot manufactured by the Spanish company Cecotec has a 2-year warranty and technical service in our country (and in our language), which represents an important advantage over other competing robots, of Chinese origin, in which the warranty may be shorter, and claims and repairs may be complicated.

Maintenance

It is advisable to clean all the elements that participate in cleaning after each operation of the robot. To remove hairs from the central brush, you can use the included tool. The side brushes and the high-efficiency filter must also be freed of any traces of dust or hair they may have.

Every 6 months (depending on the frequency of use) the brushes and filter must be thoroughly checked to check if they need to be replaced. Spare parts can be purchased on the official website.

It is also advisable to clean the sensors and wheels of the robot, since dirt, hair, etc. can stick to them, making the robot's normal operation difficult.

Opinions on the Conga 1190

You have more intelligent and orderly movements than before Congas, as well as better materials. When it has finished cleaning, it returns to the charging base on its own, even if it has battery left. I'm happy with her.

I bought it because it had three scrubbing levels, It's amazing, it scrubs wonderfully. I have impeccable parquet, I love it.

I bought it when it came out, I had the 990, but I gave it to my mother-in-law. It goes great.

It works perfect, wonderful, nothing to envy other more expensive brands, good price and great performance.

perfect, the best gift I have ever given myself. When I come home from work, everything is clean, especially under the bed and furniture, where there always used to be lint. I recommend it 100%.

  2. Hello,
I just bought a conga 1190 and I have a question that I have not been able to clarify: if before finishing cleaning the house the battery runs out and returns to the base to charge, does it then continue where it left off until it is finished or what exactly does it do?

    Thank you.

  3. Hello, David, thank you for coming to our website.

Well, our opinion is very similar to yours, they are very similar devices, but the Conga It is more "proven", because many more are sold. However, we have had the opportunity to test the Netbot S15 and it also works very well. On the other hand, also indicate that the S15 can also be managed through an app, in case you are interested in this possibility. You also have a new generation one, the Conga 1490 at a very good price now on Black Friday.

As for what you say about the comparator, you are right, thank you very much for the observation, we have already corrected it, it was incorrectly placed on the comparator; As explained in the analysis, the robot maps the home, thanks to its gyroscopic system, so that it is able to know where it has passed and clean the entire surface, just as in the case of the S15 (another issue is that, Unlike other more advanced models, these two map, but do not save the map).

  4. Hi, I'm trying to decide between the Conga 1190 and the netbot s15. I have seen that they have very similar features although the s15 has a little more power. On the other hand, the brand conga gives me a little more confidence than Ikohs (based on the number of sales of the conga, although it is not a decisive detail either). Could you recommend one of the two? Thank you

Also comment that when I compare the conga 1190 with the s15 in the comparator it appears that the conga It does not have a map, but in the analysis it says yes (I don't know if it is a bug or if I have misunderstood something).

    Thanks and regards.

  5. Hello, Guillermina, thank you for visiting us.

Yes, the brush rotates even if the mop is on. The dirt that the brush catches is already being pushed inside, towards the tank. And on the other hand, the mop will also trap some other dirt (the brush is not going to push it towards the mop, it is going to push it inside, and on the other hand, some particle that has not been absorbed towards the mop will adhere to the mop). inside).

    All the best

  6. Hello, I am thinking of purchasing one Conga 1190…., I wanted to know if the brushes rotate when mopping. If so, would the dirt stick to the mop?
    Thank you!!!

  7. They recently gave me one Conga 1190 and I have a problem. On several occasions it has been left standing without battery anywhere, instead of returning to the charging base.

On the other hand, I have a doubt. From what I've read, the vacuum cleaner memorizes the house, but what about chairs or other items that can change places? My house is big, so sometimes I put it in one place and other times in another. The Conga Is she going crazy or is she ready for it?

    • Hello, Lourdes, thank you for visiting our website.

Regarding the first question, verify that the charging base is located in a place where there is enough space to the sides and in front. You can also try changing its location, in case the current one causes some kind of problem.

Regarding the second, don't worry, the Conga 1190 creates the map as you navigate, so you will not have problems because the chairs are sometimes in one place and other times in another, the map helps you know where you have gone and where you have not and to return in the same way. more efficient to the base, but it does not give problems for those types of changes.

  8. Hello, Valeria, thank you for visiting us.

Both are excellent options, with some differences. As you point out, the 1190 has mapping, while the 1090 does not and, for its part, the 1090 has a special brush to collect hairs, which the 1190 does not have (which, of course, does not mean that the brush The bristles and silicone of the 1190 do not pick up hairs efficiently, they will simply become more tangled).

They also differ slightly in the filtering system, since the Conga 1090 is HEPA and 1190 is EPA. According to the data that the brand gave us at the time, the efficiency of the 1090 filters would be 99,9% (HEPA 13) and that of the 1190 at 99,7% (EPA 12), so that the difference is small, but it exists (possibly, being so small, it is only of interest in the case of people with allergies or similar problems, but we say it just in case).

In many other characteristics, such as power, noise, size, tank capacity and battery life, they are the same.

In short, both can do a good job. More specific for homes with animals is 1090, although if your cat's hair is not long, the result will be similar, because they will not get tangled. And in that case, you would have the advantage that the 1190 achieves 100% cleaning of the surface thanks to the mapping of its gyroscopic system. For its part, the price difference of 10-20 euros is not very relevant, so it depends on each person. We hope we have helped you.

    All the best

  9. Hello, I am thinking of buying a robot for Reyes, I like this one because of the mapping, but I have a cat at home, and I have seen that there is a Conga, the 1090, which is special for animal hair. Which one do you recommend I buy? Conga 1090 or 1190?
Thanks in advance and happy holidays
