The new range of robots presented by Cecotec includes several models to take into account: from the powerful Conga 3090, possibly the best robot vacuum cleaner on the market, until this Conga Series 1090, especially for those homes that have pets.
Cecotec has done it again, and with this robot it gives you more for less. This is because the Conga 1090 went on the market with the same price that the best-seller previously had Conga Excellence 990, the best-selling robot in Spain.

Conga 1090 series: valuation
La Conga Series 1090 obtains 93 rating points out of 100. It is a device that maintains some of the characteristics that made the Excellence 990 a great success, such as being a 4-in-1 robot, being silent, having great autonomy, etc.
But it also has an elegant and renewed black tempered glass design., it is more powerful, has more advanced navigation software, includes a HEPA filter to achieve a purer environment, and incorporates a special brush to collect pet hair.
Now, you have the new connected version of this robot, the Conga 1090 Connected, more manageable and configurable.

Commissioning of the Conga 1090
As always, Before starting it, it is advisable to charge it for a minimum of 12 hours (this is for the first use, then about 3-4 hours will be enough).
The charging base must be supported on a wall, and in a place where the robot has enough room to maneuver and to detect the base (approximately, there should be 1 meter towards each side of the base and 2 meters forward).
Once the robot is loaded, it can be activated using the button on its top or through the remote control. With this, you can also choose the different cleaning modes that the robot has, to adapt its work to what suits us best at all times. In any case, by default the automatic mode is activated, which runs through the entire room in an apparently random pattern.
Operation of the Conga series 1090
La Conga Series 1090 has a similar operation to the Excellence 990, so highly valued by its users. Of course, it is a 4-in-1 robot vacuum cleaner, which means it sweeps, vacuums, mops and scrubs. And, also, unlike other robots on the market, it can do all four things at the same time.
Its 2 side brushes trap dirt towards the center, where its rotating central brush—now composed of two materials, bristles and silicone, for greater efficiency— He picks it up and directs it towards the interior of the robot.
Its powerful motor (which now reaches 1.400 Pascals of suction power, a figure that few robots achieve today) does the rest. The waste tank now has a capacity of 500 milliliters, compared to the 300 that the Excellence range had, so it has to be emptied fewer times.
Thanks to its filtering system, composed of a HEPA filter and a filter mesh, dirt is kept inside, achieving a cleaner environment.
If we have animals, the Conga Series 1090 can be of great help, thanks to its Animal Care technology. The robot incorporates a silicone brush specially designed to catch pet hair, and is soft and quiet enough not to disturb people or animals..
The 1090 has 3 power levels: Eco mode, for superficial cleaning, normal mode, for daily cleaning, without giving up power, and turbo mode, in which it reaches 1.400 Pascals, for more thorough cleaning.
The carpets are another of the strong points of this robot. Not only because of its great suction power, but also because it incorporates the Turbo Clean Carpet mode, which activates the Turbo automatically when it detects that it is on a carpet, maximizing its effectiveness.
Furthermore, the Conga 1090 is capable of lifting carpets up to 2 centimeters thick, something that many competing robots are not capable of doing, making it a great help in homes that have thick carpets.
Programmable
By supuesto, Conga 1090 is programmable. Programming is done easily from the remote control, being able to put it on at any time of the day, 7 days a week. This way, if you wish, you can program the robot to work when you are not at home, and when you return, you will always find your home clean.
You can see how it is done in this video:
Conga, the robot that scrubs
La Conga 1090, like its sisters, is capable of vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing. When we first tested this capability, we were a little skeptical as to how effective a robot could be in this area. There were many robot vacuum cleaners, but… scrubbing too? The Conga Excellence 990 showed us that good work could be done in this regard.
Now, with the renewal of its range, Cecotec has given another twist, to achieve greater efficiency. That's why, la Conga Series 1090 incorporates a two-material mop, which manages to better trap dirt and guarantee better results on all types of surfaces..
Its intelligent scrubbing system with solenoid valve achieves a perfect water dosage, so that it wets the soil slightly, without flooding. To achieve a better result, the robot incorporates the Circle Start system, which begins navigation by making concentric circles to soak the mop evenly. In addition, the size of the tank has also been increased, from 300 to 400 milliliters, to achieve greater scrubbing autonomy.
If we add a little floor cleaner to the water (very little, keep in mind that the tank has a much smaller capacity than a bucket), we will leave our house clean and scented.
The robot, unlike some of the competition, can mop and vacuum at the same time, since the liquid tank has a section for solids.
For varnished wooden floors, you can only use the mop, with great results. The robot will vacuum and wipe its two-material microfiber mop, achieving a clean and shiny floor. If you lightly moisten the cloth with a specific mop spray, the parquet will look (almost) like new..
Cleaning modes
La Conga Series 1090 has 5 cleaning modes, so we can choose the one that best suits us:
Automatic: It is the default mode, which is activated when you press the button on the top of the robot, or the play button on the remote control (or when it is programmed).
Edges mode: This mode is perfect for collecting dirt that usually accumulates in edges and corners.
Room mode: It's one of our favorites. It is ideal for cleaning a specific room; We leave it locked in it, and with this mode, it will clean it exhaustively for about 20-30 minutes, stopping then.
Spiral: A classic mode of most robot vacuum cleaners. When the dirt is concentrated in a specific area, or if we have dropped something and it has been scattered. The robot will spiral around the point at which we activate this mode.
Return Home: This mode is automatically activated when the robot is finishing cleaning or when the battery is running low. During its return to the base, the robot will clean any traces of dirt that may be left along the way. This mode can also be activated manually from the remote control.
Advantages of Conga series 1090
It is a Conga
Cecotec has demonstrated its ability to make robot vacuum cleaners with an exceptional quality-price ratio, and that is why it has placed its robots among the best sellers in the country. There must be a reason.
4 in 1 robot
Sweep, vacuum, mop and scrub. And, what's more, he is capable of doing all of that at the same time. This way, you save time and effort.
Powerful
Its 1.400 Pascals of suction power place this robot in a prominent place in this area. With this power, there is no dirt that can resist it. And, in addition, it has 3 levels, to adapt to all needs.
Autonomy
The 1090 enjoys ample autonomy, like its predecessor, the Excellence 990, since reaches 160 minutes. This allows you to clean large rooms on a single charge.
Silent
With less than 64 decibels, its noise will not bother you neither to you, nor to your animals, nor to your neighbors. You can put your robot to work whenever you want.
Best Friend Care
Take care of your pets. Not only does it make little noise, but the 1090 Series includes a silicone brush, especially for cleaning the hair of your favorite animals.
High efficiency filtering
This robot has a HEPA filter, which Traps up to 99,9% of dust and mite microparticles, achieving a purer environment.
Carpet specialist
The 1090 Series will leave your carpets impeccable, since activates Turbo automatically when it detects that it is on them. In addition, it is capable of lifting carpets up to 20 millimeters thick.
Drawbacks
It is difficult to find fault with this new Cecotec model, since it offers a large number of advantages at a very competitive price. Perhaps one could cite as a drawback—precisely, derived from that contained price—that it does not have a home mapping system, which provides more orderly navigation (an issue that Cecotec has included in its range starting with Series 1190 and , above all, in the impressive Conga 3090 series, with laser mapping).
Guarantee
The Spanish robot Conga Series 1090 includes a 2-year warranty, and has technical service in our country (and in our language), which represents an advantage over other competing robots, of Chinese origin.
Maintenance
It is advisable to clean the central brush, the side brushes and the HEPA filter (not washable) after each cleaning cycle, for better robot performance. To clean the brush, you can use the included tool, using the blade to cut the hairs, so you can remove them more easily.
Every 6 months (depending on the frequency of use) it is advisable to thoroughly check the brushes and filter to verify if they need to be changed. Spare parts can be purchased directly on the official website.
It is also advisable to clean the sensors and wheels, to avoid elements that could hinder the normal navigation of the robot.
Opinions on the Conga 1090
It is ideal if you have animals. I had the Excellence 990 and bought this to try out the new roller. Very good, I gave the old one to a relative.
It's amazing, I had one Conga of the old ones and I was delighted, this one has left me speechless. The suction has improved a lot and the new brush is amazing, there is practically no hair left.
I had an old model, but This one is better, it is excellent. Very happy.
I was a little skeptical about cleaning with the mop, but I was pleasantly surprised, it is a great discovery. It may not remove the worst stains, but gives the floor a very nice shine. The animal hair brush is also very useful.
Why buy one Conga series 1090
If you're looking for Powerful and complete robot vacuum cleaner, with 4 functions in a single device, effective and specialized in cleaning homes with pets, this can be your choice.
If you want to buy a Spanish robot vacuum cleaner, but you don't want to give up the latest technology in vacuuming and scrubbing, this robot from the new range Conga It can be an excellent alternative.

The Spanish company has been working since 1995 to offer the best quality-price ratio in its products, to give more for less.
In this way, it has managed to position itself in the market as an alternative to large multinationals, thanks to the good opinions of customers about the 500 products it currently has in its portfolio.
In the field of home cleaning, its range of vacuum cleaners Conga, with its robots at the helm, has allowed it to lead the sales of the sector in Spain.
With the renewal of its range, the robots Conga Not only do they offer the best quality-price ratio, but they aspire (pun intended) to also be the best products on the market..
In addition to vacuum cleaners, Cecotec has a wide range of household appliances, such as the wonderful coffee maker Power Matic-Ccino 8000 Touch, with an impressive 19 bars of pressure (15 is normal), or its impressive Mambo kitchen robot, with 23 functions, and capable of kneading up to 2,5 kilograms of dough, which we told you about here more details. It also stands out for its range of GM programmable cookers, its fitness range and its relaxation chairs.

Good afternoon,
I have the Conga 1090 connected but I don't have wifi and since I don't have a remote control, how do I change the mode? It is in room mode and does not leave it. How do I put it in auto mode so that it cleans the whole house?
Do you sell a controller that is compatible with this model?
Thank you.
Hello, Mercè, thank you for visiting us.
Yes, in principle, the 1099 Connected model is the same as the 1090 Connected, but with a remote control. Therefore, although it is not listed on the website, if you contact Cecotec and ask them for a remote control, we understand that you will have no problem getting a remote control.
All the best
Hello Soly, thank you for coming to our website.
This robot, like most on the market, only supports 2,4 GHz networks, not 5 GHz. If your router is dual, you should choose the 2,4 GHz one (the 5 GHz one will be called 5G or similar).
You can see our article here, in which we put the video with the step by step for the connection.
If you follow the steps in the video and still have problems configuring the connection, it may be a matter of your phone's settings. If this is the problem, keep in mind that on Android, an option called “Activate WiFi automatically” or similar (depending on the version) will normally be activated, which automatically connects to quality WiFi networks, and can cause problems.
To turn it off, go to Settings > Network & Internet > WiFi > WiFi Preferences and turn off “Turn on WiFi automatically.” Return to the app, start the process again and when “Sending a message to the robot” appears, go to Settings > Network and Internet and connect to the network with a name similar to “Conga_***.” After returning to the app, in a few seconds you will see how it connects.
All the best
Hello, I bought one CONGA 1090 CONNECTED and when I try to connect it to the WI-FI I get a comment,
The robot does not support 5Ghz WI-FI networks.
Select another WI-FI network,
What can I do to get it working?
Hello, Ana, thank you for visiting our website.
We assume you mean the Connected version, you can see our article here, in which we put the video with the step by step for the connection.
Like most robots, it is only connectable to 2,4 GHz networks (some Conga modern high-end models, they are also modern at 5 GHz, such as Conga 4090, which is now on sale on Black Friday, and the Conga 3690).
If your router is dual, you have to choose the 2,4 GHz network, the 5 GHz one will not work for you. If your router is only 5 GHz, it will not work for you, you should go for a robot that supports this type of network.
If the router is dual and you follow the steps in the video and despite that, you have problems when configuring the connection, it may be a matter of the phone configuration.

I can't connect the app to conga. It tells me that 5g wifi cannot be contacted. I change it and neither. Can you give me a solution? If I don't find it, I will return the robot.
Hello, Mari Carmen, thank you for visiting our website.
The Conga 1090 "just" does come with a remote control, we assume that you are referring to the 1090 Connected, which is effectively controlled through an app. However, for those cases, there is the model 1099 Connected, which is the same, but with a remote control included.
All the best
I don't like that it doesn't have the remote included and everything depends on the mobile. It should give the option of using both one thing and the other, and not one or the other.
Hello, Olga, thank you for coming to our website.
You can start the robot using the button on its top. However, to get the most out of it, it is better to manage it through the app, otherwise you will lose part of its functionalities.
All the best
Hello, I bought the conga connected. And I can't use it with my cell phone because I don't have Wi-Fi at home. Is there a way, thank you. Greetings.
Hello, Fernando, thank you for visiting us.

Hello, I recently bought this model and in the instructions it says that during charging the light is flashing blue, however a flashing orange light comes on, is this correct or is there a problem? Yes, when it has finished charging the light is blue, notice, thank you
Hello, Bernardo, thank you for visiting us.
Yes, it's fine, there is no problem, when it is discharged it turns orange.

I don't agree that it does all 4 functions at the same time...
You have to change the tank to vacuum or mop and you never know if it will mop something that has not been previously vacuumed...
A lot of marketing but it is still a bad looking and poor quality Chinese vacuum cleaner.
Hello, Joaquín, thank you for visiting our website.
There are colors for tastes… The difference of the Conga with other robot vacuum cleaners, which already had the previous Conga Excellence 990 is that it can mop and vacuum at the same time, unlike other robots, in which the liquid tank does not have a section for solids, the mop covers the gap through which it is sucked, or which simply block the function. suction when scrubbing.
All the best
Well I don't know if it will ever work, at the moment I've been trying to connect the Conga to the application without any success. And I can't get anyone to clarify anything for me. A disaster
Hello, thank you for visiting our website.
It is the manufacturer's recommendation for the first charge (something that, by the way, is quite common).
All the best
You don't have to charge it for 12 hours. When a lithium battery reaches 100% it stops charging so the other 10 hours are of no use. Let's stop perpetuating that hoax.
