Honey was founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann, originally as a milk centrifuge factory, in the German town of Herzebrock, in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The 60s saw the launch of its first dishwasher, with various aspects very similar to those of today.: with a load capacity of 12 place settings, built-in under the counter, stainless steel chamber and detergent dosage.
